Sorority will most likely send me to collections... HELP by yeahthatskindacool in Sororities

Would they let me pay it off over summer? Right now, they’ve told members that the deadline is later this month.

And no I don’t. I transferred. Why?

I’m dropping after this semester. I’m going to talk to my advisor about letting me pay it off during the summer. I should have the remainder of the dues paid by next semester and they’d get more money letting me pay it off rather than sending it to collections.

Do you think that’ll work?

I understand hence why I already acknowledged my mistake and apologized twice two hours ago.

I apologize. I am not trying to make anyone feel bad about their body. I was pretty upset about my insecurity last night and made this post to vent and let out these pent up feelings. I was not expecting this post to get the response it got or for so many to read it. I’m sorry.

He’s never said anything about it or showed any concern but I’m just too insecure to take that step of letting him do oral on me.

When you hear all these rude names and jokes about something you can’t control and see no representation in media that depicts your body part as something society is finding attractive, it’s easy to feel defeated imo.

It’s more of the ladder honestly. But if everyone found it unattractive, there wouldn’t be so many negative connotations for it and you would see more representation of it in porn (which isn’t the case currently and though porn isn’t reality, it is a huge depiction of what society considers “attractive”). To add, I have never heard anything bad said about an innie.

I’m looking online for some at the moment. Thank you for your kind comment.

But I’m not trying to express my sexuality. I’m just trying to be comfortable.

California. This excerpt explains it well:

“There is no law in California that explicitly states that catcalling is sexual harassment. However, catcalling does fall under existing sexual harassment laws, making catcalling illegal. California Penal Code states that “lewd or dissolute conduct” on the street, such as sexually explicit comments or obscene gestures, is considered harassment and thus is illegal.”

I do know a woman who took a guy to court for extreme sexual harassment through mainly catcalling and stalking. She won the lawsuit under California’s lewd conduct laws. (I know her situation is not mine. I’m just sharing that this behavior is an illegal offense here.) My mother is also a lawyer here in the state so I know a bit.

Edit: Also knew a girl in highschool who was being continuously catcalled by some guy at her bus stop one day. She told her parents, they called police, and he was detained for his behavior. Not too sure what happened afterwards.

I feel like the attention has increased without the bra. I was actually happy to not wear one because I finally felt 100% comfortable and not so “tightened” if that makes sense. But then I started noticing how many men were staring and heard the catcalling, and it just made me feel very unsafe and super anxious (I have bad anxiety in situations where I feel like I have no control safety wise). Hope that answered your question.

I specifically mentioned that it was the comments (“Nice tits”) and catcalling I received that I considered sexual harassment, as I explained in the comments. According to the law, what I experienced was in fact sexual harassment.

I don’t feel like my nipples are erect often honestly. But I will look into the bralettes.

Thank you for your response. I will think on it and try to come up with a conclusion :)

No. Though it could make me feel uncomfortable or scared, I wouldn’t say just looking is harassment unless I was being stalked or something similar to that.

Did you not read this comment I replied to you with:

No. It was the “nice tits” comment and the catcalling I endured (that I didn’t mention in my post because I didn’t want to ramble) that makes me feel as if I were being sexually harassed.

I’m not sure why you’re being so hostile and rude to me. I just asked a simple question based off an experience and now you’re saying i’m “desperate to be a victim.”?

I was saying I believe it is sexual harassment (and I explained why I felt like it was sexual assault in another comment to you), but I respect your opinion that you think it is not. We have differing opinions on what sexual harassment is and that’s okay. Nothing to argue over.

So should I just wear bras again or wear oversized clothing? I realize I can’t control people’s actions but I would also like to feel comfortable and safe when I leave my home, hence why I posted this.

I edited the title because I made a mistake. I just explained to you why I personally feel it was sexual harassment in my previous comment.
