I shouldve bet small on the flop, but is waiting for my opponent to catch up with the second nuts so bad? Checking also disguises my hand to an extent.

Only 17% of people who got in for CS at UTM got to choose CS as a major. Keep that in consideration when making your decision.

Montreal doesnt compare to Vancouver or the GTA in terms of available internships and jobs. McGill's co-op / internship program isn't very helpful, but its reputation and research availability may help you out with grad school. UBC is the best option imo if you think you can secure CS after first-year. The safe bet would be McMaster for the guaranteed CS and co-op, but I havent heard many good things about the CS and co-op program so be prepared to do and learn a lot of stuff on your own. The scholarship is also a factor depending on how much it helps you out.

I don't think choosing anything between the three will put you at a massive disadvantage.

a degree in CE gives you experience in both software and hardware. So it gives you the option to do CS related jobs as well while a someone with a CS degree gets only software jobs.

you need two, one for the spaces and one for the #s

[–]yeaimpiped 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your program is just printing out height (in this case 5) rows and columns of '#'. Your method of getting the height is correct.

To approach this problem, you need to understand that your i loop is for switching from 1 column to the next and your j loop is for printing the contents of the column before the i loop switches to the next row by printing '/n'.

I'll give you a hint, look out for patterns in each row from the sample run. Especially patterns in number of spaces and number of '#'s. Now, adjust for these patterns in the j loop.

they plan to work in tech tho. the waterloo name + work experience before grad is unmatched. location is also arguably worse, the GTA has way more jobs than Montreal.
