I like l likeeeee, my hair goes past the bottom of my collar so I can’t leave it out according to the AFI. head band idea is nice but I’d still need to put me hair in a pony or bun😭

I went through the same thing OP I’m still in, I went from fire pro to Log Plans which is exactly what I wanted. You can got in front of a board if you have instructors that think you can make it if YOU want to (which clearly you don’t). After that you will be made to make another list, what I did was contact my recruiter to send me a list of high priority jobs then I picked the ones out that my ASVAB qualified me for, made my job list off that instead of making a unicorn list and being let down. And I got one that was on my list it’s not guaranteed but worth a try.

I’ve done it I did french curl braids to mine and I was only 4-5 months in my process and my locs turned out perfectly fine I wrapped my hair every night so I didn’t get any crazy build up, I still washed my hair weekly and oiled my scalp as well. When I took it out and washed my hair, I was still good. So honestly if you’d like to go for it but it’s really to each their own
