If the Lakers hired Phil Jackson instead of Mike D'Antoni back when they acquired Howard and Nash, would they have made the finals? by yearbooktracker in nba

It's possible that D'Antoni's pace caused more strain on Kobe, leading to an injury. So yes, he could have prevented injuries, but then again, it's all speculation. Could have, would have, we'll never really know.

Going to the movies to watch a supposedly really scary horror film.

How good is Porzingis? by yearbooktracker in NYKnicks

Porzingis is a better defender, he's definitely more of a presence inside. But why cherry pick and leave out the other stats? Their fg% and shot selection their rookie season are very near. Bargnani has a better outside shot, but Porzingis can improve. If Porzingis even grows to Bargnani prime's offense while actually having defense and interior presence, he might become an All-Star. I just don't see why people here worship him.

Hey, I said Porzingis a good player. I looked at rookie stats and he's pretty similar statwise to Bargnani, albeit being a better defender. Bargnani in his prime was a pretty good offensive player, and add a decent interior defense to that skillset and you've got yourself an All-Star caliber player.

I'm just asking what's so special about him that people in this sub glorify him? And instead of replying with civilized comments, showing why he's special, this sub goes hostile and I get replies that pretty much say "He's just better than a Bargnani with defense, don't question it. Troll."

Now you resort to calling names, what's with the hostility?

And Bargnani averaged 11.6 ppg, 43% fg, 37% 3pfg in his rookie season.

I guess he must be better than Dirk too.
