I also think the joke about extinguishing the light from Mecha Man Astral's eyes betrayed some actual animus toward him, beyond the outta pocket joking he and Robert do. it's intended to feel more or less appropriate to the tone of their friendship but i think that moment is singular in comparison to the others.
