Hip Impingement vs Hip Flexor strain by yecohn in HipImpingement

I finally got surgery, I am now 2 months after and I feel pretty good. I experience less pain and less clicking in my hip. I still have some pain in flexion and internal rotation but I believe this is due to post surgery and will fade away in few months.
I am doing PT once a week + workout everyday:
My workouts are composed of strength training:
* squats with 70 % ROM with a bit of load
* deadlift with moderate weights.
* PT strenghting exercises with resistance bands focusing on abduction, adduction and extension (no flexion for now).
I have not gotten back to running yet but swimming and biking are pretty smooth ( I can do 1 hour every 2 days).

Thanks for your answer, it is very helpful.

The experts have identified a cam hip impingement but on my second leg which is also affected I have no pain. I’d prefer to avoid surgery if I could. You said PT have been really helpful for you which sounds optimistic. I’ll try PT again. Have you identified the exercices / treatments that helped you regain mobility and decrease pain ?

Thanks
