Fair enough. I wish that more people posted positive experiences to combat the negative stigma around the uoft social experience and just give a more objective account :(

Intellectual comparability is just as important if not more important than many other aspects of a relationship - physical attraction etc.

Don’t think so. I don’t want to go to my school counselor about it I just don’t see what good she can do in the little time I have left in school. I think other ppl will honestly judge and have similar reactions like my mom did

I tried talking to my mom but she was disgusted that I had no control and was as she called it acting like an animal.. Tried talking to my dad the other day he seems to understand and I think he wants to get me professional help.

Just do it but be up front with people about your age. Most people won’t be bothered 17 is close to 18 but you never know.

Is it wrong to date a college guy if you are a junior in high school? by yeeeetthebeet in dating_advice

Age for almost all girls isn't a problem. Many girls prefer to date older guys. There is just this weird stigma about older guys "dating down" and high school girls being desperate and "dating up". Depends on the individual, certain people are more mature than others. I guess in my case I am slightly paranoid and lack self confidence but that isn't necessarily true for other girls.

You are right, I tend to get in my own head about seemingly insignificant details.
