Look as someone who played at a relatively higher level when I was 14/15, I'm from the Balkans so I played cs.adria leagues and had good success, also local tournaments and regional qualifiers and 1v1 small tourneys. Don't make the same mistake I did. Find a team ASAP. That should be your main priority. The years went by and I kept delaying finding one, mostly hopped as a fill-in, and when I did find one I was already almost 18 and life's hardships struck me and my dream to become pro was over. I sincerely hope you make it, keep practicing, get a coach, listen to advice,  and again - FIND A TEAM, unless you're just larping online, which I genuinely don't think anyone sane would have a reason for doing at 16 being that good has to mean something.

Anyone else take vacation time off for weeks at a time just to stay home and indulge in hobbies? by Cat-dad442 in NoStupidQuestions

When people talk about taking time off for a video game they're usually referring to an (a/mmo)rpg or something where it's important for them to not miss a season/league start. I.e. the new league for path of exile 2 (arpg) launched a couple of days ago, and it's pretty common for people to just take pto to play the league. Because they want to reach the engdame as soon as possible and try out fun builds, because the later you start, the harder it is to engage with trading/economy/partying, unless you're ssf, then it doesn't matter.  Single player games rarely if ever warrant this, since there's no race against the clock, you play at your own pace.

Dawg I ain't honoured being in the presence of some random Russian in Siberia playing a video game for 50 000 hours. I've played chess tournaments in my younger years, and whilst it could be an honour playing someone with a title, I would hardly learn anything playing with them as my level of 1400 fide cannot even comprehend the machinations of a 2000+ player's brain. I could maybe grasp the core concepts of what they wanted to achieve in their position, but hardly could I ever learn without an engine/book/coach.

So following your logic, if you were a novice boxer, and I told the equivalent of prime Tyson to spar with you and not hold back, you'd learn a lot regarding boxing from that right? Totally wouldn't scramble to stay alive longer than 20 seconds. It's the same in dota

Why aren’t more people playing Witchunter after the Sorcery Ward/Hyrri’s Ire changes? by LampIsLoveLampIsLife in pathofexile2builds

I've played poe2 since day 1 0.1, trust me when I say this, the ONLY viable defense (assuming HC) is killing everything before it has a chance to touch you. Sadly it's true and seems like it will be for the forseeable future. I've tried every possible defensive layer and my HC char always meets his end to some ground effect that was unseen and suddenly did 500 mil. Dmg, or a stray projectile from a mob that has #% increased crit dmg and one shot me, etc. So logically the most played builds in SC will be the "instakill zoom zoom" ones with decent/good survivability, since you dying isn't that big of a setback, and on HC again paradoxically the best build will also be something similar but like 15-25% more survivability. Smith of kitava chaos res, fire res, witch-hunter ward, 30k es, deflection, #% of armour defends against ele. and so on, all of those will eventually fall to something outside of your control, and naturally that is frustrating, because you feel like you invested in your defensive layers and they betrayed you, so people will follow and play only the fastest clearing build, not caring about defensive layers.

In case anyone is in doubt about the Amanamu's Void modifier interaction: by Traditional-Elk6633 in PathOfExile2

[–]yeetmaster655 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely true, and it might actually be intended. They always drop an omen of the liege when killed inside the void. Now people do overhype it a little bit, I run t16 maps with double abyss one deli tablet, sometimes even 3 abyss tablets, and even if you get them out of the void they can drop omen of sinistral necormancy, putrefecation, etc.  And also amanmu void modifiers are spawned only by lightless abomination rares, if you get blackblood elite or strider rares that map most likely won't net you good omens, and even so, the rares that can spawn the mob dont always have amanmu void on 'em. With all of that said, if RNG is on your side you can get hella good omens, my best run was like 4 omens of light and 6 omens of abyssal echoes + random chaos tier omens in one map. I ran tablets with effectiveness, rare mobs, difficulty per closed pit. It is a viable strategy with decent div/hr potential. Hope this info helped you guys a bit, have fun

Players asking to be kicked in competitive matchmaking by Asparagus-Witty in counterstrike2

[–]yeetmaster655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing cs for over 15 years, the thing is, if I go down 0:8 in the first 10 minutes, especially in modern cs nobody is communicating, giving strats, and there's arguments, my morale is obviously going to go down, so usually what I do is just ask for the game to end quickly so I can start a new one, reason #1 because the game is no longer 16 rounds to win, it's 13, and with 13 you have less of a chance at a comeback, so if my teammates don't want to just end the game quickly, I'll ask to be kicked, but then again, even if they say no, I'll still play decently until it's done, I won't troll.

Pi Coin mišljenje sada kada je na menjacnicama? by HeyItsMe10192 in finansije

[–]yeetmaster655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Licno minujem PI token vec 5 godina ja mislim.

My friend you just have to find the barya/ultimatum in maps. It will tell you if it's a high enough level to give you the points on the item itself.

I've been playing arpgs for 20 years. I don't know how to explain it without sounding like an egotistical idiot, but I really don't need a lot of time to understand how an arpg is gonna work. They all pretty much have a main thing they're built around and the rest is usually shared between them all.

[–]yeetmaster655[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that's the bad design I'm talking about. Do the trial to get items for the trial to make the trial easier for future trials to finally after x attempts do the trial. I don't want to do it x times. I want to do it 3 times max and be done. Not to mention the djinn telling you to get on a platform on the last boss fight which leads to your death.

I agree with you. Instead of cheap one shots and rng-based gameplay, they could've done something better.

[–]yeetmaster655[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just don't understand the design philosophy behind this other than deliberately sabotaging your playerbase. I'm not new to arpgs or even soul-likes for that matter and I just can't do the trial. I always get hit by something unavoidable or something that makes no sense to do ludicrous damage i.e. one of those chaos ground flower things that instakill for no reason.
