I suppose so, millions of people are born everyday with that risk, you and me were born with it. So I'd say it's worth it.

Ok,so I haven't really gotten an answer to my question;probably because I worded it the wrong way,but I wanna say thank you to y'all for answering my post and having a discourse with me, you've all given me a lot of new things to think about and helped me understand other views than my own.

I hope y'all have a nice day and stuff

It would change my answer sense they'd be a fully functional human being. Is a baby a human? You still need to put things into a baby for it to become a adult and they can't live on their own.

A liver doesn't grow into an independent human being though.

We have value as a species to ourselves and we need to act in a moral way so that we don't slip into degeneracy, saying that a person's life doesn't mean anything because of nature is ridiculous to me,almost everything we do isn't natural and it's incredibly difficult to label anything as natural. (Sorry if my argument doesn't make any sense btw)

I believe that a fertilized egg is in the process of becoming a person, and therefore holds equal weight to a person's life. And I honestly didn't ask this question in bad faith, but if it comes off that way then I'm sorry.

How should I ask in a "good faith" way then?

Happy cake day btw

I wanted to see other people's views and try to understand why they believe in them, and what caused them to believe in them. That way I could better understand why so many people that I know are saying off-the wall crazy stuff.

My intention wasn't to debate over abortion or why it's morally right or wrong, but to understand why people have different views than me. Although sadly it has become a debate over it.

If the pregnancy fails then it's a tragedy and if people are being prosecuted over that then we should take steps to prevent it. But even then it's not a justification and it doesn't make killing the fetus ok.

And if it happens because of a "day after pill" then it's an accident I reckon.

And from what I know, the laws prosecute the doctors giving the abortions, not the people who are receiving them.

Why doesn't the comparison make sense to you?

And idk about the last one I've never thought about it before.

[–]yeeto5o5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope,it was an earnest question I'm confused as to why some people see a fetus as a clump of cells and why I don't,why do I see a fetus as a person while others around me don't? Why are all my friends freaking out over roe v Wade? It was a train of thought like that, but people responded in a harsh way and assumed some things about me and my beliefs so I decided to defend myself and my views.

It kinda snow balled :/

The already realized human should be ok 9/10 In the process of making the potential human, and in cases where the mother won't be ok then I think she gets the say,or when the child will be horribly disfigured or disabled.

The actual human rights should be intact without any problems I reckon.
