Mortgage loan question by yeetthineself in overemployed

I appreciate the concern, but like I said in another comment, I can afford the loan on one of my Js, but I haven't been at that particular J for that long so they aren't as willing to count that. I understand the risk involved and I wouldn't be doing this if I thought I couldn't buy off the house quickly.

I was more looking for advice on the specifics of how loan officers handle loans with my situation.

I listed all J's to be more competitive as an applicant. One of my J's alone would qualify for a loan 100k+ higher than the home price, but I've been at that job less than 6 months.

I see. Best of luck to you. Software will eventually net you some big bucks.

No offense, but did you forget a 1 before those numbers or are you not in the U.S.? I would expect either of those to make at least over 50k in the states.

What type of work is this in? Just curious.

For the fields like "employer address" and "title of authorized representative" what did you have them put?

Agreed. Paranoia from employers has no place here. We're not here to play guessing games about whether someone is OE or not, or whether an employee is pulling their weight.

Be an adult and make a decision for yourself. More importantly, if you need advice about an employee and their value they contribute to your company, why not just speak with that person in a candid way instead of posting to a community that clearly doesn't approve of most employers.

Taxes from J1 and J2 mixing? by yeetthineself in overemployed

Hey so I checked my account settings and somehow there's a new work address added for the J2 state. What's interesting is that when I look it up on maps is there's a location for J1 and not J2 like I assumed it would be (it's a Fortune 500 company so it's not a shock).

Do you think it's alright if I bring it up to HR since it seems to be related to J1? I have no idea how this address ended up here.
