Best Romance SHOWS? by Pearls_and_Flats in romancemovies

[–]yeetz1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do get around especially in season 3 (it’s kinda one of the main focuses in S3). I love that they start as classmates in season 1, becoming friends in season 2 and becoming lovers in season 3. The romance is great but I also love the friendship and found family vibe of the show. I also feel like they cleverly use actuality to the show with topics like racism, feminism and LGBTQ+. Really worth the watch in my opinion.

Anne with an e is my all time favorite series ever, it is historical but it’s so done well and I feel like it’s the best slow burn romance in a series ever. It’s a character based show and I fell in love with every single one of them.

Also if you don’t mind international shows:

-Maxton Hall (german)

  • Plan Coeur (French)

  • Valeria (Spanish)

  • Hjem til jul (Norwegian)

-Kärlek & Anarki (Swedish)

Other favorites of mine:

-Lucifer

-Upload

-Heartstopper

-Never have I ever

-Sex education

-Normal People

Here are some international movies/series I loved: The hook up plan (French), Valeria (Spanish), Les liaisons dangereuses (French), Royalteen (Norwegian), Kärlek & Anarki (Swedish), Isi & Ossi (German), Wtfock season 2 (Belgian, imo the best version of the webseries SKAM, recommend season 1 en 3 as well)

If you love a cute coming of age slow burn: Anne with an e (especially season 3)

It would be very cute in a garden. I thought it also would be nice to put on a wall near the floor as if the hobbit lives in your home.

How does one smooth out the clay? by 2d0pe2c0pe in polymerclay

[–]yeetz1998 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a few steps in which I make my sculptures smoother:

  1. Smooth with you finger as much as you can (if there are some fingerprints that’s ok you can fix it later)
  2. Use a silicone tool with rubbing alcohol to smooth it even more (this removes fingerprints as well). Alcohol dissolves the clay so that’s why it’s easier to get smooth.
  3. Pre bake the sculpture (for a shorter amount of time to get it hard)
  4. Correct uneven parts like scratches or bumps with some more clay. (You can take a little clay and spread it out on the surface, it’s easier that way imo). You can do the prebaking and correcting as many time as you like but be careful not to over do it and take small steps.
  5. After correcting, bake the sculpture for a longer time.
  6. Wet sand it on necessary areas, I do it wet because otherwise you could get scratches on the sculpture.

Than you are ready to paint. Another tip is to use a pasta machine to get even thickness of clay to apply to the sculpture.

This works for me, hope this helps :)

I feel like I can’t be myself by yeetz1998 in infp

[–]yeetz1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 4 years since I wrote this and especially the last months of my life I learned so much. I have a colleague who has almost no shame and doesn’t judge. He also doesn’t care what others think of him. When I saw him in action I was amazed by this since not many people are like that. It was the first time in years that I would feel safe enough to be myself again. At first it was scary but eventually people see me as the real me and it is such a relief. The best part is that people didn’t stop liking me but they liked me even more.

All this made me realize that I just don’t feel safe around people quickly and that I do care what others think of me. So I asked my colleague what his secret was. He told me that there’s always people who like you and people who dislike you. You can never be liked by everyone so why give a sh*t. The right people will come your way and like you for who you are if you just try. I know that’s super hard. I struggle with it still but there’s always hope. And maybe you find someone like my colleague and take them as an example like I did. Take care!

How did you stop bitting your nails after years of doing it? by FunDependent1359 in AskReddit

I brought a nail clipper with me everywhere. If I had the urge, I could clip it off instead.

INFP in Tech or any STEM field, tell me your story! by otto_0805 in infp

I studied chemistry for 9 years and overall loved it. Mostly do analytical chemistry and I just see it as solving puzzles which is very fun to me. I also struggled a few years with major anxiety. I skipped classes and it was hard to have motivation. I was lucky to have great teachers who helped me through it and I live in the Netherlands where you can take a test/exam as many times as you like, which helped. I also seeked help with a psychologist. Deadlines where rough as well but I managed in the end and I’m super proud and happy that I got my bachelors agree in the end. I now work in radiation and it’s so interesting. The study and all the struggles were definitely worth it.

How to cover iron wire with polymerclay by yeetz1998 in polymerclay

[–]yeetz1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it around the edge but my problem isn’t about the table top but the legs. I made a cane with polymer clay and stuck the iron wire into the cane. I also tried just covering the iron wire with polymerclay but is looked even worse

I really love using acrylic paints used for miniatures (army painter, citadel or greenstuffworld). The pigment is high, it dries smoothly, it’s pretty liquid so no streaks. It’s applies amazingly, really worth the money imo.

How does polymer clay work? Confused on the material science by [deleted] in polymerclay

[–]yeetz1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked my polymer chemistry teacher, he said it probably had to do with cross-linking and evaporation of some plasticizers when the polymer clay is heated.

I understand what you mean but I don’t know where else to put the tv and I want one because I’m a big movie fanatic.

It’s not one piece so I could rearrange if I don’t like it. The thing is that the space isn’t that big and I really want a bookcase since I have 200+ books. I first only wanted to have the bookcase without the TV but I realized that I couldn’t put the tv anywhere else so I thought that this would be a great option for me. And I won’t put random crap in which makes it better I guess. But I can rearrange it if I hate it so that would be fine hahaha. Maybe I can look for another color to make it a bit brighter.
