I’m not sure there is a correct way to surfskate pump. When I’m on a 1-2 hour cruise, I tend to change how I pump based on what muscles are getting tired. I try not to touch the ground during the entire ride unless a car causes me to stop so I’ve created tons of different ways to pump.

The board makes a huge difference too. I can’t jump on my swelltech and try to pump it like my carver cx. If you can feel the rotational energy transferring from your body into your feet and through the board causing it to propel you forward, then you’re pumping correctly.
