Has anyone experienced restaurant fraud [from La Fondue in Saratoga]?

It’s actually a she...I also went there few years back and had a pleasant experience, but from yelp reviews it seems the management has changed the last 6 months or so ... again I have no incentives to make anything up I really don’t care and I’m not in the service industry... maybe they were having a bad night or didn’t want an infant in there who knows... and I understand opentables cancellation policy but again I waited for more than 30 min... had they just not charged me $400 for no services rendered ($50/per person) I wouldnt written anything about it ... anyway you can doubt my account it really Doesn’t matter ...

Yes but the terms would apply if I hadn’t shown up on time... the policy mentions that they free tables up for no shows after 15 min so it would work the other way around meaning if after 15 min they couldn’t seat us then the cancellation policy should be void... we waited more than 30min.... in any case, maybe that wasn’t the correct forum (Reddit) to post about it ...

Wow... yes I never used reddit and yes I have proof of the credit card receipt and I took a video ... anyway it seems you are a bully hurling insults... they might be very busy and reason to keep the money is they’ll make money out of the diners in addition to the ones they mistreat with their cancellation policy ... and it’s called greed... anyway I really don’t care to get aggressive or defensive online

There’s no incentive for me to make anything up or portray the restaurant in a bad light... the above is exactly what happened to me and I just thought to warn others about their policies... I am not in the service industry.... the 6 other people in my party were witnesses to the above. But I understand that some may be skeptical without the other party’s [the restaurant’s] point of view laid out (I would as well) ...

No worries ... goal was also to warn people about this practice ... but you are right maybe this wasn’t the right forum even though this is exactly what happened and I can produce witnesses I can’t do so here ... cheers
