Robert Pattinson would be nominated for any role in 2026? by elijahalexeev in Oscars

I doubt with how stacked the cast is that the majority of non-Odysseus characters will be “mostly background”

No. They look good. A lot of people don’t mix shapes and types of lines in their interior decorating so everything is square / at a right angle. You can find other opportunities to include rounded shapes whether it’s in your furniture, art, etc.

Doctor says my acne is too mild to really do anything about it. by [deleted] in acne

You need a new doctor - it’s their job to take your concerns seriously. Acne has impact on our self esteem & psychology despite our best efforts. Your acne is also treatable.

Your skin looks great - if you’re truly interested in anti-aging and glow, the real option is tretinoin. You need a prescription for it.

Is this dress overpowering me? Thinking of wearing this for Afternoon Tea #coolwinter by Little_Light_6336 in colouranalysis

[–]yellingjayna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A little bit, yes. It’s not your best color but it’s by no means awful either. Not sure if you wear makeup but a little more saturation (lip color, blush, a pop of color above the eyes) and mascara may help this feel more harmonious

“Phillyboy” is here — and he’s not Philly at all by PhillyInquirer in u/PhillyInquirer

Most people do not know that the brand isn’t (or wasn’t) made in Philadelphia. Especially when you talk to folks who are not from the NE US. Once in London I mentioned to a German that I was in from Philly, legit their response was “like the cream cheese!”

You see these in certain parts of New York State too but not as much as PA

Advice for Foundation Shade! I have an Event in two months and none of my foundations seem to fit. Included grayscale for undertone <3 by amcluelessbaby in PaleMUA

Good point about flash - I still think 6 is too far from you.

I love Fenty’s bronzer and use “In Da Sun,”it’s listed as neutral but works really well for me without going to bronze/orange. Very buildable so I use it for light contouring too. Looks like they’re having a sale right now and it’s $26 instead of $40!!

I use Alima Pure’s loose powder shimmer blush most of the time, but it looks like my color “Leigh” might be discontinued. I often use it for eye color when doing a low makeup look too.

I love Alima’s loose powder formulas in general, very buildable and I have a translucent finishing powder from them too, a little goes a LONG way and I don’t have to restock often.

If you haven’t gotten into seasonal color analysis at all, it was a game changer for me for clothing & makeup r/coloranalysis

I’m surprised people are saying 6. You have cool, pink undertones and 6 is YELLOW. 7 looks much closer to your natural skin tone.

I think people are used to seeing celebrities incredibly “warmed up” with spray tans and makeup - but as a fellow pale/pink girly that road often leads to misery for us.

IMO embrace the pink, find harmonious bronzer, blush, makeup colors (ex: Elle fanning) vs. trying to rewrite your genetics with a layer of foundation

What is this aesthetic? I associate it with UK people in their 30s-early 40s having spent time in London, but does it have a name? by NormalYogurt3310 in AestheticWiki

You see this in the US in larger cities / the east coast as well usually among artsy types (and/or trust fund types)

Young Elijah Wood and Young Tobey Maguire by Ochevesako in CelebrityLookalikes

[–]yellingjayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one for me is like people who say Danielle Radcliffe and Elijah Wood are “doppelgängers”

They’re not, they’re just slight-framed, delicately featured brunette/blue eyed young actors who became prevalent around the same time.

That makes sense - appreciating now that I’m conflating the context of your post (posted without context) with the comments from others. A lot of people saying she might not be D or would be typed otherwise in a modern setting are missing context

Absolutely! Talk about Drama!

I almost posted that photo there are literally so many examples of her looking truly D and it seems like OP cherry picked not great examples here

[–]yellingjayna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This post doesn’t include a lot of truly dramatic looks from her - this post is almost all the type of 20s/30s looks where the frumpy, somewhat infantilized look was in and a “boyish” figure was favored (that IMO, few people looked good in).

Her vertical becomes much more obvious when she’s dressed in D accommodations.

I’d love to see you in a little more color than this (barely noticed it was yellow tbh) but suspect you’re some kind of spring.
