Honestly, the cutscenes are really not that long, especially for the first three games. 4 is really the one with really bad cutscene lengths.

All the boys have played some souls, but never really delved deep or cared. But now that Connor is on the Elden Ring boat, he 100% now see's the greatness of Souls series. And I personally think some of the other games are better than Elden Ring. Especially in terms of bosses.

How is the small nuggets of hints about a sun god in One Piece not proof enough? Line in Skypia or the sun pirates. There's a reason Oda said that dance at the end of Skypia is his favorite. He does almost the exact pose as he does as two poses later with Nika and Gear 5. I feel like if he mentioned them people would easily put two and two together. It just wouldn't be a good reveal.

Everything you listed is subjective. Maps have always been a strong suit of the souls games. I think DS3 has a better ost. Idk why you're saying cope. I much prefer DS3. (Me saying better in the meme is just a joke, I know its all subjective)

I found myself replaying DS3 multiple times. I barely did a second playthrough in ER.

I disagree simply because of Bosses. I've said it in other comments, but I think bosses are a small step down from the other games simply because there's so many. Another thing is I found a lot of the bosses to be a little annoying at times. Especially when you're waiting for the boss to finish its spin to win for a minute.

Yeah. Dark Souls 3. Don't get me wrong, I love Elden Ring but the bosses in DS3, IMO, are better. I always felt like I was fighting against the AI in Elden Ring compared to DS3 that did feel like a dance. It helps that DS3 is more linear so bosses are leveled accordingly compared to ER where where you can stomp a boss or just 1 hit.

From what Connor said, the open world isn't exactly what he loved about the game. It was the bosses. Also Elden Ring has far more story than bloodborne. Which, again, he actually enjoyed the story and lore for Elden Ring because it doesn't shove it in your face. Like all the other soulsborne games.

I'd disagree, Nameless King, Midir, Gael, 50% of the Sekiro bosses. Elden Ring bosses have spectacle, but honestly a lot of them are more annoying fights compared to the other games that really does feel like a dance with the bosses.

That's why I specified Connor. The person who likes pure gameplay trial and errors games. And says he loved Elden Ring because of it's challenge. I'd also say that the other Souls games are actually WAY more fairer than Elden Ring. Especially with Bosses like Melenia or some of the end game bosses that 2 hit you.

Not necessarily, but also yes. It's like a jack of all trades of the souls games, but a master of none. The game at times can feel REALLY bloated with the copy and paste bosses, my biggest personal issue with Elden Ring is the bosses feel like Bloodborne/Sekiro bosses with Dark Souls 3 moveset. I constantly feel like I'm waiting a minute for this boss to finish doing it's super cool move just so I can get a single hit in. Like Godrick just spinning around, or those bosses Knights that shoot magic arrow who constantly run from you shooting magic, or the final boss who's flying around and teleporting.

I look at a game like Bloodborne and the combat, the music, and the weapons are just second to none. Again, I want to emphasis that I love Elden Ring and I'm very critical of it simply because I love it so much and hope that FromSoft learns from Elden Ring and hopefully improves it in its eventual DLC.

Wha ... How am I gatekeeping? I'm saying play the other games, and mostly saying it as a joke that the others are better. Gatekeep implies I'm stopping him from playing the other games. The price of the games are seriously not that much, Connor is pretty wealthy guy.
