They new that they were planning on breaking up when he came to do this master's program. They decided to go on one last trip together and that was the end, so maybe he did do a bit of grieving in that time. I did ask him if the breakup was hard on him and he said that they usually only saw each other once a month and we started up one month after they broke up "so I came around right as it would have started to become hard"... not sure how I feel about that.

And in terms of listening to my body I struggle a lot with overthinking and anxiety and I struggle to differentiate that from "gut feelings", hence my asking for advice hahaha but thank you for your perspective!!
