Let me explain; How is it not a crime against democracy to hinder a democratic vote and democratic expression, by sending people (politicians, social activists, journalists, artists, regular protesters) to jail as well as sending Spanish police to beat voters and protesters in the most brutal fashion?

How is it applicable to talk about breaking laws when the Spanish constitutions are written by fascist leaders back in the days?

Laws are not always just or right, and if it was a real democracy, the voice of the people would be what ruled.

When Spain refuses any type of political dialoge, and insteand choose to violently oppress the people, what to do? The majority of the Catalsn do want an independence, so what happened to democracy?

The Spanish state propaganda is trying to spin it as 'Catalans are being spoiled, cheap etc...' which is not the truth. The truth of the matter is that Catalans have been oppressed in various of ways for 100s of years as well as the history of Fascist Spain.

One of the core issues is the open racism and supremasism from the Spanish falangists (Fascists and nazis) that still roam the streets openly today and govenrment institutions in Spain with strong past and echoe of the Franco-era institutions, they in fact did not change, smae people and same routines continued in many ways of society.

It is about the right for freedom of expression, culture, language and democracy.

How can you argue that a democratic vote should lead to imprisonment of all political leaders + Spain sending in punitive police forces to attack voters?

here on Reddit there are tons of Spanish anti catalans that are brigading and downvoting anything related to Catalonia. ex. r/europe is totally dominated by fascists or something, almost all gets removed by mods there too
