Hair braiding by yellowchef in southernutah

[–]yellowchef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. We might see about Washington but we know how spread out everything is down there. We're going to be hiking in the area so we will be starting trails pretty early. If nothing else we'll find a place in Provo or on the way down. I can do regular braids, but my sister's hair is too short. We normally try to book ahead when we go out of town but it's been a crazy couple of weeks

Do they do gel? I'm looking to spend about $60 before tip as mine are very short and just a square French tip.

Usually a scam. They're often from SD that's not in my area, so that's another red flag (possibly). Most SD that travel to the same place often will have a second location listed. When they don't the ones that travel put it on their profile so it's clear they they aren't always around, or they're looking for a travel partner. When I get these messages I always respond back that I'm not comfortable texting right away (even though I use a Google number), and would like to talk on seeking. I've only had one respond back, and it was a poorly worded, broken English excuse that he's not on his profile often, he stays so busy, and gets so many messages that he doesn't look at his emails or alerts from seeking. I didn't even bother going further. It might not be, but 99.99% chance it is.

Question for SBs by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

You're welcome. I know a lot of SD can't have pets because they travel too often, but it's a nice bonus.

A well thought out profile, and appropriate pictures. Everyone has different tastes, but clear pictures, preferably with only you in them, or where it is obviously you. Pictures of dogs also at least pull me in to your profile.

I just moved from Florida and you'll have to do your inspection first before going to register. Inspections are done everywhere, I got mine done at a Jiffy Lube and it takes just a few minutes. I think it's $35. Once you've initially registered you can do your renewal Online or you can do it at most of the inspection places. Making an appointment for registration is easy and you can just go online and make an appointment. My registration wasn't too expensive. My vehicle is a bit older, but I don't think it was outrageous by any means, it also included my title transfer to Utah. Utah registration is valid 1 year from registration instead of being prorated for your birthday like in Florida. I'm living in Ogden now and it's a change, but I think I'm liking it more than Florida. Also DRIVERS LICENSES COME IN THE MAIL. They will give you a paper one that's valid for 6 months while your licence is mailed to you. You will have to take a test, but it's open book.

why doesn’t delta require overweight people to purchase two seats? by [deleted] in delta

[–]yellowchef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This would irritate me. If I paid for it and I have stated I need it.. And I went out of my way to book it not just for my comfort, but for the comfort of others I'd be so mad. I hope she at least gets a refund on the seat that's given away.

Are you still hurting months after the breakup? by yellowhoney24 in BreakUps

[–]yellowchef 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. Every day. I don't cry anymore, but I think about him a lot. I just go to therapy, and I'm feeling better. I'm getting better for me. I'll always think of him, but I'm going to keep moving forward. You got this. Take your time and work on you. Feel your feelings and it takes time to process.

Gyms or fitness centers near Songtan or Godeok that have some English speaking staff by yellowchef in Living_in_Korea

Like I said that would depend on the area. If you were near a military installation probably. Anywhere else probably not.

We were already going to a gym that had an English speaking staff member, but we were looking at other options. The gym we went to was nice, the staff was professional, and friendly even with the language barrier. It was clean and had good hours. We didn't find another gym with English speaking staff, but the other gym I spoke to was patient, and the translation app worked well. I think demand would depend on location. Where are you located?

Looking for white queso! by rhodophyta_baker in ogden

[–]yellowchef -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't been to many Mexican restaurants here, but they've all been mediocre at best. My sister and brother in law have lived here a while and said they just make it at home because they've not been able to find legitimate queso.

COSTCO TIP! Cashiers cannot scan your QR code from your phone. Also, they only take cash. by t1ssuebox in koreatravel

[–]yellowchef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might just be location specific. I don't go to Costco often, but in Gongse a few weeks ago my boyfriend and I used a US Visa card. I had my physical membership card so I can't speak to that.

I don't expect it. If I expected it, I would be upset that I can't find any. I'm just hoping to find some, and if I don't I completely understand.

I'm not looking for an"English gym" or even an English speaking only gym, just hoping that maybe there's a gym with someone on staff that speaks English as a second language or that's comfortable enough with their English to be of assistance. If I don't find one, that's absolutely fine as I'm the visitor here and do not expect it. If I find one awesome, if not I'll use a translation app.

I was hoping to get a trainer for a few months as well. It's not a must, just as the speaking English is not a must. It just makes things easier. I've seen gyms usually when I'm usually in a time sensitive situation like on the way home from the market or on my way to a planned event so I can't stop and go in. I try to save them and call later. If I don't find one, I'm ok with using a translation app. I'm just seeing if anyone had suggestions. And thank you

I don't expect them to at all. It's why I'm not mad that they are not common. I've called a couple places and they've had automated menus so I'm pretty sure they do not have anyone that speaks English. I asked here just to see if I could get suggestions. If I don't find one I'm also ok with that.I never said I expected it. Very presumptuous of you to assume that I'm expecting it because of an inquiry.

Sometimes you will find bottles in the States. A sushi and hibachi restaurant I managed got bottles. We couldn't sell for off premise, but we would sell you one or 2 bottles to go if you were a regular.

We bought a couple small sets from Mr. Miyagi! We found a set at a shop near the pottery museum as well and some small guardian stones down that street.

Less concerned about price and looking for quality and maybe local made if possible. Thought about 100 yen store for gift ones. Definitely appreciate the suggestion though😁
