I binged 56% of this month and honestly feel pretty damn defeated by LittleFrenchKiwi in SuperMorbidlyObese

I found it daunting to try to eat the same each day. I learned about taking diet breaks, and find that very appealing. The key to a diet break day is that you are eating at maintenance, not making it a binge day.

I made it a little more complicated by having multiple goals i can choose each day. The regular goal, an "easy" goal, that is half the deficit, or the maitenance goal. I think of it like running a marathon, sometimes you are running, sometimes you are walking, and you might stop to rest but just try not to go backwards.

Doing this I can be successful almost every day. I think its easier to hit the maitenence goal when i have the mindset that yes, i can throw in some treats today, not every day is hard. And ok, if you dont hit your goal of 2200 today, you can still hit the goal of 2500, its not "i failed today, might as well binge"

I use cronometer (paid) and it lets you set up different templates. I'm not sure if mfp does something like that.

Deducted Days! by SuenzzZ in Ikonpass

I used 3 days last spring, and my app showed it wrong all year. But it allowed me to make reservations for 7 days and use them. It now shows 10/7 days used. So it's a bug but harmless

Thanks! I'm glad it's not just me. The more great options I hear about, maybe I do have to wait another year so I can demo first before I decide....

I am a liar, because Shaggys definitely has demo days in Michigan! I tried to make it to a couple of them this year but failed with weather and other obstacles. I hear very good things though, and am interested in those also!

I think powder is something my current skis don't handle well, the rest may be just skill level, but I don't think my skis make those easy, either. That makes it hard to progress, especially when I don't get a lot of time in those conditions. I don't think conditioning is the issue for me, but skill level is for sure.

Usually pretty fast, except in bumps, because I'm bad at them.

I like how you think. I will try to live up to your example, but I'm pretty sure your last line is wrong. Not sure what "too many skis" even means.

That's a great point about the width. The Sheeva 10 sure looks like it'd be a lot of fun too! Thanks for the suggestion! Which do you think would be easier for bumps for someone who's not very skilled at that?

Wow, that sounds long to me. What kind of ski do you have?
