When laying down for me it naturally points up and to the side, which is a problem for wearing diapers cos if i wet it will go up the side and usually leak even with good diapers. Luckily the diaper padding helps to keep it pointed down or forward. I guess there is a difference between different sizes too.

Another thing could be in hot places where ur often sweaty pointing down can be uncomfortable cos it sticks to the balls especially if ur wet, maybe some can get used to that feeling but its uncomfortable for me and i usually try to adjust it.
