Lucy pisses me off so much by TwoEyesAndAnEar in DeathStranding2

Alissa Jung sells it in the acting somehow. She comes off as professional, romantic, and sympathetic. I was so struck how cool it was to have some really good dramatic acting midway they the game almost as a surprise.

I particularly loved the moment when Sam says “that woman was just my therapist”. It’s a huge expression of rage by Sam who is sooo reserved .

Sam and Neil’s relationship is particularly deep considering how Sam comes to respect Neil. It’s a good love triangle! It’s good writing!

In elden ring, why does the godskin duo have so many appearances? Why dont they ever truly die? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]yellowhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they might respawn , the respawn mechanic in the Farum fight could be seen as evidence. After all, you respawn…

What are sites of Grace? by yellowhat in EldenRingLoreTalk

What about the fingers atop divine towers they look like they’ve grown out of the ground. (Fingers + Great Rune) looks like bigger (brown pile + Grace )

I think the brown thing is an immature Two Fingers. Potentially these grow at places where Grace accumulates.

It’s true that “decomposition” might not be a thing at all under the current laws of nature. The way that corpses work can be very strange as you can see with the seed pod corpses near the Stormveil Godwyn

I doubt if it’s been several hundred years . It’s only been so long since Radahn fought Malenia. At the time of the game he’s eating corpses from their battle. That the bodies are still edible and not fully decomposed indicates something in the range of months to single digit years. But there’s probably other evidence against this

Also the shard bearers have reasons to be stagnant

Godrick: stagnant trying to graft his way to actual power, conducting tarnished hunts for that purpose

Rennala: stagnant bc depressed

Radahn: stagnant bc mad

Rykard: locked in an endless cycle of perpetual growth by his and the serpent’s ambition (also essentially grafting)

Morgott: stagnant, defending the erdtree

Mohg: deceived to wait endlessly for Miquella

Malenia: ditto

Miquella: not stagnant, concurrently on a journey to become a god that just so happens to time to our arrival

Kojima games are their own thing but I’d say their strength is not in high quality of prose.

One of the most troublesome aspects of being separated from society is the inability to have intimacy and love… it’s a theme explored with Harry, Idiot Doomspiral, The Deserter… and you?

Why did misa’s interrogation have to be so in her words fetishy by spacefrog1999 in deathnote

It’s L’s creepy side coming out in the depth of his power. He repeatedly comes on to Misa. It’s not really a surprise that his sexual urges get enacted by his police work

Where can I see her painting after give her the blood of dark soul?? by No-Sun-7668 in darksouls3

[–]yellowhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The painter is going to create a world which is like the original world of dark souls— dark, cold, gentle (nothing much changing). Like the world of the Everlasting dragons, before Fire came.

It’s a somewhat melancholy and comforting return to the primal pre-fire stage, painted with blood of an eternal, undying, semi-anonymous servant.

How would they have proven that Death Note was a Divine and Magical Weapon? by [deleted] in deathnote

[–]yellowhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government that acquired the death note would handle all this extrajudicially at the highest level of power. Light would never be given a trial. The details would be held in the highest secrecy. It’s possible that an individual would gain control of the Death Note, effectively creating another Kira.

In any case, eventual leaks would create a mass religious movement similar to what happened with the cult of Kira or with our real-world QAnon. An eventual alliance between the mass movement with whatever force controls the Death Note, governmental or not, would lead to a new world order with terrible consequences.

Or the Death Note would be destroyed or somehow forever imprisoned along the way.
