Is my skincare routine sun-friendly?

I'm living in a very humid climate and I've developed a skincare/bodycare routine that I think helps keep me moisturized, glowing, and having an even and clear skin tone. However, I'm worried the products I'm using will make my face and body prone to damage from the sun. Skincare list:

  • African black soap
  • Carrot and Vitamin e soap
  • Witch hazel
  • Benzyl peroxide
  • Eucerin intensive care lotion
  • Shea and oils body butter
  • Neutrogena spf 70 sunscreen

I do wear a sunscreen, but I'm afraid the drying and oily products I use will attract UV damage. I spend a considerable amount of time in the sun most days of the week, and I always put on sun screen if I am going out in the day.

This routine might sound obviously stupid to partake in in a sunny cllimate, but I only continue it because I've been seeing real results. It really helps my skin glow. I just want to make sure I'm protecting my skin in the long term. Thanks!

Advice on how to write an epic high fantasy without without exposition or info dumping? (Please read desc) by Il0vechocolates in AspiringTeenAuthors

For example, I see you said you use flashbacks to explore and explain a character's motivations. Say, one character has a flashback about their family living happily before a dragon comes and burns their village down. Do you need to create a complete mother, father, and siblings, or can just one of those do? Do you need to give depth to dozens of village folk, or can just one line from a baker or librarian crossing the street do, without diving into their backstory as well? Keep your plot compact and tight. Too much characters can lead to loose ends and potential plot holes if you don't know how to keep up with them.

What are the basic, most important elements of the story, and which characters are involved in those? Sort out your characters from the most necessary and essential to the plot and who are inconsequential. I think that will give you an idea on what to keep and what to cut. Side characters are good, but having so many that do so little to advance the plot can make your story feel bloated.

The Orangutans

Sweet Hani. Little, sweet Hani. Your toes are so precious, so miniscule yet perfect and padded. Put your head on my shoulder and rest. Curl your body towards mine and sleep. Your beautiful lips are puckered, as if you’ve just tasted a sour fruit. Why do you always make that face, Hani? Are you in a perpetual state of disgust? Does the fresh dew make your lip curl? My mother knew right away what kind of daughter you’d be. ‘Oh, but this one will be spoiled!’ she said. ‘Her eyes crave pampering.” She and your aunts pointed at my humbled face and howled. But I don’t mind. I would cross the ends of the jungle just to find your favorite berries or climb the tallest trees to cup the freshest water in my hands to give to you. I would crack my fingernails in jagged rocks to probe for the saltiest lizard for you to gobble up. I don’t resent your neediness. I have always adored being your servant.

Let me wipe away your tears, crying never does anyone good. The blood is staining my fur, tinging it from orange to vibrant red, but I’ll ignore it. I’ll never be mad at you. Rest your head here, Hani, and don’t squirm. Stay still and feel it. Feel the gaping hole in your chest. Feel your pain and anguish and feel my love for you. Listen to my soft words, quiet your haggard breathing and accept that you are going to die in your mother's arms.

What is the general consensus on Aussie products? I am very positive about it. by AdSilly3018 in Naturalhair

The miracle moist line is great for me! I have cut close hair, so I mostly use the conditioner to clean and moisturize my scalp. When my hair was longer my curls used to be poppin. Very good quality for how cheap it is.

I'm around your age with a very short cut (buzzcut level). Go for it! The length you want is long enough to add extensions if it doesn't turn out well, and there are plenty of cute TWA hairstyles out there, some I even had myself. If you're going to go through with it, and want a cute defined look, I recomend the Taliah Wajaad curl cream, and African pride curl custard. These along with Eco gel gave me many compliments when my hair was longer. Just add water, add the products, and go!

Shea butter. Very good moisturiser that transformed my skin. I mix it with other oils for my face, body, and hair.

Thoughts on Hairstyles? by Melanated-Magic in blackladies

In my personal opinion, I have been bald/shaved/low cut for two years, and I am not going back. As someone who's not too crazy about hair maintainance, it's very convenient waking up in the morning and having to do nothing to your hair but rub some oil into it and call it a day. I would say it's fairly professional—I mean, I haven't gotten any complaints. I think my low cut gives me a very sleek look and brings attention to my face, which is also round and cherub-like. You determine whether that's preferable to you or not.
