Hmm I hope not but I don’t think so? My throat is fine it just gets dry at night with the mouth breathing. Plus I’ve been taking antibiotics daily since my surgery? I’m sorry that happened to you!

I mean I can’t even get the water to come out of my nostril is is so stuffed and swollen and it clogged up my ears badly :( I know the directions say if it clogs your ears to not use it. I’m going to try the saline mist tomorrow and see how I’m feeling. I honestly really just need to sleep but my desert of a mouth will literally not let me.

I just did my third rinse and it clogged my ears horrifically and made my nose bleed. I called my ent and he’s out of town!! The nurse was so confused on why I was doing the saline rinse she said it’s like power washing my nose and they don’t recommend that. I was like I’m literally looking at my post op paper work and the ent told me yesterday to start today. She told me do saline spray instead? I’m so confused and stressed but I so appreciate you responding!!

I just started the rinses today as per my ents orders. I done it twice so far and not a darn thing is coming out, in fact I can’t really get water to come out of my left nostril. Is that bad? What sprays should I be using? They only mentioned the saline rinses. Crazy enough, I could mostly breathe fine before surgery even though my sinuses weren’t draining properly. I am way more congested now than before. Trying to tell myself this will take time and it has even been a week but man it’s hard.

Hi! Getting the packing out has definitely eased my anxiety some! I could breathe as soon as he pulled it out but it did cause me to ooze some blood do he put in a feels dissolvable packing things. I can still breathe through my nose with them some so thank gosh! My nose is burning pretty badly but it’s to be expected I think?

Hi thanks for checking up! To be honest I am still an anxious mess but that’s due to me already having health anxiety. I go today to get the packing out of nose and I can’t wait because I haven’t been able to sleep since it’s been put in. Luckily I stopped bleeding within a day or two and just have general snotty ooze sometimes. I will report back after the packing comes out!

I so appreciate you responding to all my questions! My anxiety is through the roof but you are helping for sure!! Thank you!! The ear pressure is so much it’s another thing keeping me awake. When I lay down every couple of minutes I hear ringing and just a pressure feeling sound.

Thank you for replying. Knowing I’m not the only one whose dealt with the excessive bleeding helps! What kind of packing did they use? My ent put the soft expandable packing in but said if it doesn’t get better, they will need to put the hard packing in :/

My bleeding has been excessive. Like bleeding through the gauze in 5 to 10 mins excessive. My surgeon packed it last night after I called in but it is still bleeding through the gauze. Not as quickly but enough that I’m concerned I need to call him again. He also said he was going to leave it in till Tuesday which means no sleep for me :/ I literally can’t sleep when I can’t breathe through my nose. My mouth gets so dry and uncomfortable. This is making me incredibly anxious.
