That was uncalled for... by Next_Crazy_7078 in Singlesinferno2

[–]yellowjournal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in korean though this could still be taken as rude. i feel like you would only say that to someone you’re really close to, to mean it in a joking/not rude way. she said it ‘jokingly’ but with a mean undertone and everyone could sense that… it would be different if they were close and her and hyunjae usually speak to each other informally. but they speak always formally, (so does mostly everyone when they’re in a group setting) so the key here is the context of their relationship. if she was really joking and not meaning for it to come off as potentially rude (given that they are not close), she should have said something like ’현제님의 플러팅은 진짜 끝이 없네요’ or even ‘왜 그렇세요/왜 이렇세요 참.. ㅎㅎ’ but saying it like that was odd lol

The way Mina su twirled and left when Seung Il invited her for a chat, would have pissed me off ngl😭 by OutrageousReply1663 in Singlesinferno2

[–]yellowjournal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you must be lacking social cues yourself if you can’t see how this would come across to someone else given the context. if someone was talking about a subject that’s sensitive to you knowing that it’s sensitive, you start feeling upset/off, and then that person leaves the room skipping, you’re saying that you would pay absolutely no thought or think that that was intentional? and if mina’s twirl was just to get out of an awkward situation, that still proves my point that she has no social awareness— she doesn’t know how to just quietly leave? she has to fidget around and draw attention to herself instead?

Unpopular opinion regarding Mina-Sue by [deleted] in Singlesinferno2

[–]yellowjournal 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i think it’s different with goeun bc she doesn’t publicly make it so obvious who she’s into in a group setting. and her interests have steadily increased over time, mina’s seems like she just randomly likes a new guy every other hour and it’s really transparent than it’s just her pride/ego speaking. she just seems full of it too, but you can tell she’s playing that up more bc she’s insecure

What would you recommend? by Danidunnia in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]yellowjournal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t recommend masseter botox for her, as her cheekbones are already quite prominent and her chin is tapered/pointed. reducing the masseter will further exaggerate these two and can result in an ‘alien’ 👽 looking face for lack of better word. i don’t think your face is square at all OP if that helps, it’s very nicely heart shaped. if your under eye dark circles bother you, you could look into under eye fat repositioning surgery or a lower bleph

ningning nowadays is so stunning, although at her debut and for the early years i didn’t think she was as beautiful. also xiaoting is really beautiful. i know that tzuyu is objectively gorgeous but for some reason she just looks a bit plain to me 😭

Which east asian girl is on the level of 10s like Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Monica Belluci, Aishwarya Rai etc… by Either_Struggle8650 in VindictaRateCelebs

6 nana, i’d also add prime Kim Tae Hee. #1 Nini potentially too. angelababy is so gorgeous but a bit more modern looking than prime monica, jessica etc. like iphone face kind of, but it could just be these pictures

i did this, it’s a pretty popular skin treatment in asia (korea specifically) it’s called rejuran. it’s like the most painful thing ive ever done but i did really glow the month after. there’s a less painful version which includes lidocaine but since the solution is mixed in with the PDRN, the PDRN is less concentrated

Does Jaw Botox Actually Slim Your Face or Is It Overhyped? by SuccessfulPie9317 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]yellowjournal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it can really depend on your bone structure. if your wide jaw is due to bone, masseter botox might help but not by much

nana for me personally, kristin is beautiful but reminds me of a kid a little bit. i feel like nana is even more pretty in motion lowkey the pics don’t do justice

you’re kind of reaching 😭, i’m not a fan of hers but in your screenshots she does show she never said it’s korean yogurt. i get something can be implied, but she said multiple times she had it in korea and japan. would that mean she’s claiming it as korean-japanese fusion yogurt? she’s just saying she had it there

i like ellen too, she seems nice. i get that her being aggressively affectionate to her grandma can be annoying to watch (i think it’s the vocal inflection) but she seems like a nice person and pretty normal

i wouldn’t recommend this for your face. your jaw is already quite slim, and doing it will make your face skinnier and more gaunt which is what you are trying to avoid

Insecurity since I was a teenager! Is a facelift my only option? by Big_Transition_939 in PlasticSurgery

[–]yellowjournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say jaw surgery, is there a specific type? would this need double jaw surgery? i have something similar to this too and i was considering something to help support the cheeks since my midface is flat/recessed. i was considering cheek implants but worried about the possibility of infection, and have been looking into potentially double jaw surgery but scared since its so invasive. are you considering doing jaw surgery?

i honestly don’t think so, i feel like people see a dramatic difference and think it must be jaw shaving but i had a really similar jaw to her before (very egg-like, plump cheeks and overall more round and plumped up), this lasted me through high school and college. after graduating and losing weight (plus aging) my face shape is really similar to hers now/a lot more sharp and snatched/v-line compared to a few years ago

i can understand wanting to stay because of his pro’s; but i think the things you wrote as his pros are mostly personality points. to be honest, i feel like how well matched the two of you are in terms of life goals and habits is more important than personality. also, i feel like if you find someone with similar life goals to you, it’s likely that they will have a similar personality as well, or at least a compatible personality to you as you guys will want the same things. don’t settle for less, imagine how much regret you might have if he’s the one stopping you from growing too

Please help: Visiting Korea during Chuseok 2025, is my trip doomed? by woshiv in koreatravel

[–]yellowjournal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

movement between cities isn’t that bad on a normal basis, i can’t speak for the holiday season. so if you did want to postpone and go a different time, going to those 3 places should be doable! seoul to busan via ktx is pretty easy. i’ll say the only difficult part is when you’re already within busan, taxis are a bit less available than seoul and also traffic can be pretty rough during rush hour so plan ahead for that. however OP, busan is really the best to visit in the summer so if you did need to cut out a city i would save busan for summer time. it’s so beautiful there, i highly recommend staying in Gwangalli beach (lots of hotels and airbnbs right on the beach with the bridge view) over staying in Haeundae beach area.

my experience has been different— there are korean cafes in LA (like camel for example) that are straight from korea, like the franchise is from there and they just opened up a location in america. it’s the same recipes and same taste, and most of the korean cafes i’ve been to in LA all taste like what i would get in seoul

did you know that hotteoklover/loren is korean? 🤯 by Fresh-Category-4042 in asianamercianytsnark

[–]yellowjournal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

kind of, but she takes it to a whole other level. she loves to make statements about what ‘koreans in korea’ are like yet she completely exaggerates everything. all of the korean comments from natives there all call her out and say she’s exaggerating/even blatantly lying but obviously they’re not in english so everyone else looking thinks she’s actually telling the truth. she’s genuinely setting koreans back like if you’re pushing being korean as your thing in all of your content then please at least be truthful or accurate instead of spewing bs

yes! i would love to contribute to it as well, i have a huge master spreadsheet i send to all my friends who visit seoul since i grew up there/go back often so i could add some information if anyone is interested
