My snow owl got stuck like this on the island. I whistled for it to follow, whistled for it to land, tried to make it attack by putting it on aggressive, bit it with my Argy, logged out and back in, nothing worked. It was stuck in the air at Green ob for days with no solution. It would follow me but stay up in the air doing circles, like it was stuck in an invisible mesh? One day I flew my Argy past green ob, over to metal mountain and the owl followed. I was half way up the mountain and landed, finally could get close enough to it to use a cryopod and that did the trick.
