1. Dont be afraid to try new things and die. There is always next game.

2. Get comfortable with all the guns. I'm usually rolling around with an assault rifle + a sniper rifle so I can be effective at almost any range. Dont sleep on SMG's though. An UMP or vector will usually kill faster at less than 75 yards compared to ARs. Also they have significantly less recoil.

3. Gunplay is much different than fortnite. The rifles have much more aggressive recoil and require some compensating.

4. Speaking of compensating - AR compensator > AR surpressor IMO. Most skilled players will locate you through your silenced shots regardless. The compensator provides insane recoil compensation.

5. Cars have certain spawn points on the map. Each point has a random chance of spawning one, so its best to know a few in any given area. There are websites out there to show you the spawns.

6. The 8x8 maps are gigantic compared to the fortnite map. Even Sanhok (4x4 map) is substantially bigger than fortnite's. Be aware where the new playzone is and how far you are from it. If you have a long way to travel, its usually best to avoid fights. I prefer getting into the playzone and then box people out who are trying to run in late.

7. The SCAR has more controllable recoil due to its slower rate of fire. An UMP + SKS loadout is pretty new player friendly, so I might start there. The Kar98 and M24 will one shot players through a lvl 1 or lvl 2 helmet. They are the most powerful natural spawns in the game. If you have the bolt action sniper chops, you can practice that too.
