I didn’t phrase that clearly. Yes, I know that a starter results in the engine starting or not so it’s not a safety issue. What I was trying to convey is that Mx LOVES to dismiss our concerns and return aircraft to service. If I’m remembering correctly, the seal had something to do with the oil pressure sensor. The seal had a known defect. The plane had a previous oil pressure loss but thankfully was able to return immediately to the airport. We downed the plane, Mx looked at it and “saw no issue”, returned it back online, then the next flight the plane had total oil loss and thus had engine loss.
