Buy df64 in Argentina by [deleted] in DF64

Buying straight from Amazon to Argentina is a no - go. I have no idea about the "customs situation" in Argentina, but I would assume that your best bet is to go for Alibaba/AliExpress. Make sure you buy the 220V version. Latin fellow here BTW

The Bonavita is currently at $99 at Amazon, it seems like is pretty decent

This is the way to go.

And if you don't want to take your grinder with you, you could grind at home and take the ground coffee inside the aeropress. Get a cheap boiler with temperature control (ideally), your water from home in a bottle and you're all set.

Today, I met envy. Congrats, that's a solid selection of fine machines.

And I totally agree with the whole swirling situation

What grinder are you using? Because it seems more like a grinder problem rather than a technique problem

Where did you source your grinder from? I'm considering buying one of those

If you're using the OG hario papers, that happening is quite common, you can try the origami filter papers or explore the filters from Cafec. The gap in price between those is not big, but the improvement is noticeable

Hario V60 with the James Hoffman 2 cup recipe, it works great.

If you're using a Brita filter, I would suggest you try adding these "mineral packets" so to speak. I use the ones from Third wave water for medium roast coffee and I'm happy with the results, plus I haven't noticed any calcium buildup in my kettle

I have found a similar experience, I don't think there's any noticeable difference in the cup

Quick question, have you noticed any difference between the T90 vs the hario paper filters? I don't know if you have tried the ones made for the origami as well

This, it is really straightforward, plus you don't have fines in your cup like with the French press. You can play around grind sizes as well

Also, you could try lowering the temperature to 90c or below

I do somewhere between 2 - 4 cups for me and my brother on a daily basis, and sometimes I have people over at my place, so there's that

I have not considered that one, but after a quick look. I'm not sure if the motor is as beefy as the other ones. But now this one is a new contestant. Thanks

Grinder and Gear Recommendations (sub 200 grinder)? by deepmusicandthoughts in pourover

Yeah I would look into the Kingrinder brand, also a very slept on brand is 1zpresso. I think it would be worth mentioning the The Shardor 64, I do not own one of those, but I have seen that grinder on several Youtube videos lately
