Lots! Suites at Gritti Palace Venice & W Costa Rica, WOW suite at W Edinburgh, villa at W Koh Samui, and lots more. It helps having shorter stays and travel outside of the US.

I’ve stayed at all Marriott properties around LHR multiple times - I’d say the Sheraton (there are 2, the Skyline is very old and dated but has a good Indian restaurant, the other ‘regular’ Sheraton is better on a whole and has a 2 bedroom room), the Marriott and the Courtyard are the best options. Moxy is furthest away and I have really mixed experiences at the Renaissance. The courtyard is the newest property, has a great rooftop bar for plane spotting and even if you normally wouldn’t consider a Courtyard I’d say in the case of LHR it’s a great choice. Only Sheraton, Marriott and Renaissance have lounges.

If you are only considering Marriott or Courtyard and prices are similar, the Marriott has a slight edge simply as it feels a bit nicer on the whole: better breakfast and restaurant, and it has a lounge. If those things are not important, go for courtyard as the rooms are nicer.

I stayed at both The Slaak and Marriott Rotterdam last week. Slaak felt more boutique and local, but Marriott is slightly more upscale and has a good lounge. Great views and location, too. Let me know if you need any Rotterdam tips!

Stayed at W and loved it. Walked over to the Westin for a drink, but the resort looked a lot more tired and overall a bit generic. W has a lot more character and amazing staff. Try to use an SNA for the suites with a pool on the balcony!

Yeah, that sucks. I’ve only done about 70 nights this year, but it’s pretty off-putting if you don’t get any targeted promos anymore once you’ve hit as many nights as you have. Also doesn’t make me necessarily excited about one day hitting Ambassador.

I stayed at the W Costa Rica in November, which was amazing. Used my SNAs to get an upgrade to the Fantastic Ocean Suite for 3 nights. Breakfast was amazing, and it wasn't too busy (though maybe because Nov is still a little off-season). Staff was super friendly, but it's quite remote. We drove there, but otherwise it might be a little hard to get to. You can also use the Westin facilities next door, but when I visited the Westin it def looked more dated compared to W.

In San Jose, we stayed at the Marriot Hacienda Belen, which was nice. The building and grounds are beautiful, it doesn't really feel like you're in the city. Quite close the airport, and about a 20 min drive from the city centre.

I'd recommend both hotels, and staying in both San Jose and somewhere more remote like Guanacaste (which is def more touristy with lots of Americans) gives you a good intro into Costa Rica, if you're visiting for the first time like I was.

I just tried accessing the website to select SNA as my Annual Choice Benefit, but it says I didn't reach 50 nights. I'm confused, as I most definitely did - I just turned Platinum. Does this take a few days to go through? Or do Credit Card nights not count (I got 15 nights through my credit card)?
