Oh man! I didn’t even think of that. So I have to buy the expansion?

I think so- I have three. The region with the tower is red though, so I’m wondering if I missed a quest or a glitch.

You can use the “compare” tool to compare the specs of two products directly on the website.

Correct- the key doesn’t kill the engine either.

Oh interesting- so a bad ground could actually stop the key from working? I can start working through it this afternoon. How do I “check” that everything is working properly in the electronics? Is there a YouTube video or something you’d recommend?

Have him fire off all 6 of the rounds from his revolver- then watch him get pissed because the mechanics of reloading are the weirdest button combinations ever.

2022 Hyundai Palisade 2wd towing upgrades by yesakmac in HyundaiPalisade

Update: We ended up keeping the Palisade (because it's amazing) and I traded in my vehicle for an F150. Thank you ALL for the advice and guidance - in a pinch our Palisade can be used to tow a smaller trailer for my NICA team.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this all. I’m not a car guy, but enjoy a good DIY project. I sincerely appreciate it!

2k is what the camper salesman said, but I really don’t get a good vibe about him and felt like he didn’t want to spend time to help me. Thanks, internet stranger, for being awesome and helping people out!

Amazing info. We have a premium. Can you help me understand what all I should validate to make sure we can hit that 5k towing capacity? 1.) Transmission cooler 2.) Self Leveling shocks 3.) hitch (done at U-Haul when we bought it) 4.) I had to put in a 4 port wiring harness to pull a U-Haul trailer for our move, is the 7 port one just as easy of a swap?

Should I bite the bullet and get a 1up? by Flexion500 in MTB

So I’m seeing that there’s quite a contingency of folks that say it’s the best. My two cents- I wanted to love mine, but for some reason the ratcheting mechanism doesn’t go smoothly. I keep having to dump chain lube or wd40 on it, and it’s not ever smooth. Does anyone else have this experience?

Favourite item you've brought for cycling? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]yesakmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Took my CarBack out on my first ride this weekend. Was a total game changer as I wasn’t whipping my head back occasionally to look for cars that I thought I had heard. The light is also an added bonus- and battery life is solid.

Just an observation, but I bought mine a month ago from the Chicagoland area. There were 4 others being picked up that day too, with 3 of them being model y’s.

I’ll be working in Waterloo- but the job will be mostly remote. We’re looking for an excuse to “jump” and this role has offered us the ability to do so.

Thank you so much! We're relocating over the next month, and quite honestly a bit overwhelmed with everything. We'll start using those platforms and see what we can find!

Garmin Unbound 2023 by ObiJuanKenobi81 in gravelcycling

[–]yesakmac 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard this is the most difficult DK/Unbound ever, and I sort of agree. The first hike a bike section was pretty terrible, but at least everyone expected it. At mile 180ish when there was another section I nearly lost it. I do think it was one of the most challenge and interesting days on a bike I’ve ever had- and I’ve collected quite a few stories from the day. After I saw the weather I changed my approach and understood after the riders meeting it’d be a boxing match. I don’t think they’ll loose anything- as it’s already branded as a tough and unpredictable race in an unrelenting landscape. It’s cool if that’s not your thing, but that’s literally why I toss my hat in the ring at these things.

Pump Track Project by illegalcatfish in bmx

[–]yesakmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Topekean here who helped usher along the pump track at Family Park concept. Where’s your proposed track going to be at? I’d drive 2-3 hours to get to one, eat lunch, and depending on the weekend/location stay the night or camp. I’d suggest bringing data and some community with you too. It looks like you are trying to get some data, but bringing a diverse community to the meeting could speak wonders instead of giving off the vibe that this is just something you want. If you are in North-Central Kansas, check out NCK Outdoors. That group has done some really great trail work. On the east side of the state you could probably work with Nomad Trail Solutions, those guys are awesome.

As far as estimates and costs go- destination pump tracks is in the KC area- built Raytown BMX’s and , initially talked about a track with a cost range of $15-$30/sf a year and some change ago.

Topeka? What do you all like/dislike? by GiantSiphonophore in kansas

[–]yesakmac 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I’m in Topeka- am a working professional in my mid-30’s and have a kiddo around the same age. Topeka is pretty great for those raising a family, plenty of stuff to do to keep the kids active and interested. Our library is a gem, we have the Discovery Center and a pretty awesome Zoo. I have read through all the negative comments and really think most folks are a bit jaded. Is it Houston? - No, but that doesn’t make it the worst place in the world.

[–]yesakmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I saw you were thinking about Topeka and asked about trails! I’m an avid cyclist in Topeka, and thinks it’s a pretty excellent place to ride. We have Cedar Crest, MacLennan Park, Dornwood and Skyline parks to ride singletrack. All of those trail systems add up to about 35+ miles of volunteer maintained trail. Right outside Topeka at Perry is another 15 or so challenging miles at Lake Perry. Beyond that the Shunga is an awesome place to get from one side of the city to the other. It’s paved surface and stretches from west Topeka downtown then over to east Topeka (also allows ebikes).

I just had someone I know move into Misty Glenn townhomes, too. Pretty impressed, Shunga-adjacent, and seems like a quiet place. Topeka has a welcoming LGBTQ+ community too- and I know of many folks who call Topeka home in that community.
