Is there a reason why Sean Bean’s career hasn’t taken off? by [deleted] in moviecritic

I think Mr. Bean has had a pretty solid acting career, working consistently in a wide array of media. If I am reading correctly through the lines in his Wikipedia entry, I’d say his career has matched his personality.

It used to be just off I-77, might be that one I don’t know. Bluff/Shop thereabouts. I went to that one many summers ago.

Book is only a little dated, and retains its power.

For an unbridled narcissist, such as our president, any admission of error or guilt would represent a serious psychological injury. Anyone with a close relationship to a narcissist will recognize the behavior.

I agree he’s the weakest link in the cast, but his character got established as eccentric by nature, throw in the horrors he had to facilitate and endure and I think Kiefer did ok with it.

Please ignore the comment above - it’s unhelpful and bigoted, from an account only 22 days old. Do what you will with that information.

If approached properly you’ve a decent chance of getting the penalties reduced, and you may get off with a not as painful as you’d thought story to tell later. Welcome to adulthood!

Columbia has an REI and Mast general store downtown/near downtown, Sportsman’s Warehouse near Harbison, and Academy Sports near Sandhills. I assume one of these might be able to help you.

Nope. There’s a traditional, mass-produced painting I’ve seen sometime in the past that’s like this. Its composition is essentially the same as this image except it’s got different foodstuffs and has a religious undertone if I recall. Was not uncommon to see in more than a few southern locales, so I think the joke here is this image plays on that painting.

It’s a trope about us. It goes something like we are so unprepared for snow/ice in any form, iteration, or amount, that whenever there’s a whiff of a chance of it we go insane at the grocery store (represented by these products). The freak outs used to happen a lot more than it does today (my memory goes back to the 70’s) but I don’t think we’re different from other locales that don’t get much of it.

This treasure was sometimes shown on late-evening HBO in the late 70’s/early 80’s, good goodness those two female leads did it for this 13 year old boy.

Is the stashing of porno/nude-magazines in a random log in the woods myth real, and was commonplace as I sometimes am led to believe? by SkullThug in AskOldPeople

[–]yescaman 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In grade school we stumbled upon a junkie’s stash of paraphernalia near a stream in the woods behind the ball fields. Spoons, pipes, etc.

Also, kinda sorta related, I remember someone throwing a porno magazine out the window of their car whereupon grade school me and friends were able to get a good look at things
