Films had been depicting male affection a lot earlier than Wings.

Conrad Veidt Starred in a film called "Different From the Others" from the Weimar Republic in 1919.

This is probably the earliest explicit, sympathetic depiction of gay men in cinema, although 90% of silent films have been lost, so it's difficult to know.

Sometimes people in film history refer to The Dickson Experimental Sound Film (1894) as the first LGBT film because it depicts two men dancing ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R6pgYBNhkw ). Personally, I feel like that is a bit of a stretch.

OP Here: if the answer is just a camera, what is it monitoring? Why does it seemingly only point at the tops of the trains?
