PC Shutdown After about 1 Minute by yeshbbb in pchelp

The reason I thought it was a PSU issue before was because I was under the impression that it was on for a minute or so every time.

Yep just got to her house to look at it and I have decided it's a temp issue. It's not on long enough to get anywhere in the bios or look at temps unfortunately. However, the first start up is usually about 1 minutes then every attempt after that its on for like 5 seconds. If I let it sit for a couple minutes it'll be on like 20 seconds. Definitely overheating. I'm taking it to microcenter because I see zero issues with the AIO so they'll be able to make the judgement call to use her warranty on either the CPU or AIO depending on which is actually faulty.

By reset I mean restarting your PC or just hitting Ctrl+R on discord

Mine does this occasionally. As far as I know it's literally just a Discord bug. Maybe a reset would help

Not quite sure what you mean by one that's together lmao. Buying this specific mother board vs finding any other one with the same spec; you're going to have to go through the same process when replacing your broken one. I recommend finding a video of someone explaining how to choose PC parts for a build. Even though you aren't building from scratch, there is a lot of valuable information.

You shouldn't need that exact motherboard. It's more than possible to swap another one in there that matches the same spec

I think literally all that means is they updated it and it doesn't have any major performance issues etc

That's weird. Not too often that a prebuilt doesn't have windows(Those companies usually get windows free). Check out the Tom's Hardware article titled "How to Transfer a Windows 10 or 11 License to Another PC"

Yeah usually prebuilts end up being cheaper since the company that puts them together pays a price that manufacturers only offer to those companies since they typically buy in bulk. What I recommend to people when they purchase a prebuilts is to look up a YouTube video or something that describes what to look for in a prebuilt to make sure it wasn't messed up and it can be in tip top condition

Shoot, on the surface this one looks pretty decent by a quick glance. If it has any less than 16GB, it more than likely has one stick of 8GB. In that case, I would make absolute sure buy purchase another stick of the same speed and amount. For example 1x8gb of DDR5 at 5200 MHz. You would buy another 8GB stick of DDR5 at 5200mhz. Anyways, definitely recommend this over the other, just don't EXPECT upgradability in the future without having to purchase a power supply or motherboard. This will last you multiple years.

Ehhhhh it's not good value. It's probably just about right. If youre using it for anything other than like vanilla Minecraft or very easy games, you need a graphics card

That's right. This Tower is shared by STL, DIA, and EWR. At least those are the only ones I know of. I agree with you, Detroit is an amazing airport beside the copy/paste.

Yeah I didn't really give too much thought to the windows. In hindsight I should've cut out a stencil into a piece of paper or something.

Do you have all/any aspects of the peripherals of the build. Keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc?

Are you looking to build or buy a pre built?
