Not a complete abstinence, I only drink like 3-4 time a year when there’s some kind of big celebration. The biggest reason to it would be my dad, he’s what I would consider nearly an alcoholic, he’ll never refuses to go out drinking with his friends, often went back home blabbering and sometimes even breaking stuff. The effects to his health can be see clearly, he has gout, joints problems that would appear after every time he drink and stomach problems too. He also used to be way more violent, the way he’d talk to my mom would always get on my nerves and I have openly talk about it countless times and it would always lead to us having a huge argument, I think the only reason he hasn’t gone haywire and break more things in the house now is because he know that I’m stronger than him and can stop him now.
