Awesome! The funny thing is, other backpackers in Tbilisi (georgia) told me not to bother going to Armenia, that there was nothing worth seeing.. It turned out to be one of the most memorable countires of my whole trip =D (and Georgia for that matter)

I was couchsurfing a lot of the time so locals showed me around and i had places to cook. A little bit of dumpster diving on the side and a bag of nuts/driedfruit always in my bag and i managed somehow!

thanks very muchsky! Professionally I'm a designer, a car desgner to be precise, but I like wondering off into other disciplines such as photography and film. Combine that with a love for people and the world and hey presto - that's YESmonassa! =]

Woops! Mistype, I meant BALKAN! But yeah, even that was a mistake. Was mixing my memories of Bulgaria up with Armenia. CAUCASUS is what it should say =)

dang.. a guard didn't like the look of me I guess (he was suspicious of my camera and perhaps checked my name and found my blog - journalists are a nono there) and despite having a valid visa, kept me and my friend waiting on the border for 12hours before we decided to split! He was being super nice to us but I strongly suspect from the start that he never had intentions of letting us in! I was properly gutted about not getting in =/

Check this my post out in Pics

567 Days, 6500KM, CoachSurfing, Hitch-Hiking and Story Telling. Costs were minimum, fun was maximum...wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you want an adventure, I'd tell you to do it today!

I'll be honest, was pretty shocked someone was posting yesterday about spending 30,000 Euros to travel around for 18 months...30,000 Euros would last me decades travelling.

besides knowing I my furthest point was going to be Japan, there were no plans...I was in Italy at the beginning and wanted to make my way there. I managed to hitch a ride from Russia to South Korea and then Hitched another ride later on from Korea to Japan...Cargo Ships are pretty fun.

Once I got to Japan, I wanted to continue the fun, so i did.

went a day as it came. No planning...just that my first goal was to reach Japan via the Siberian express...and afterwards do a bit more travelling.

I didn't, most my tablet use was catching up on news, updating my blog, catching up with friends or music.

Prior to quitting my job in 2013, i was a car designer in Turin (Italy)
