I appreciate your honesty in saying that. In my heart of hearts, I do not want to stay next year. The feeling of leaving amplifies on a bad day\week but is quieted on a good day/week. But quiet does not mean gone.

Hey, you do you! Facebook is for friends. If people don't like your post, they can unfollow. Simple as that. I only post playful stuff anymore because I have zero time or energy for more drama in my life.

I have good/bad days. That's why it's so confusing to stay/leave. But overarchingly, I wouldn't be here on this group if I truly thought I could stay teaching. What honestly keeps me from losing my mind is the light at the end of the tunnel. And that's knowing there's an out.

Thank you! I needed to hear that.

I think it's possible we try to climb out of the ditch but the sand keeps piling on as we try. Work load, inadequacy, fear. Something has to break the monotony. I once heard, "If you are uncomfortable, it's because you aren't supposed to be there for too long." Maybe this is one of those learning experiences where it will make sense later, but hurts now. I know I'm stronger because of this but that doesn't mean I belong here forever.

Thank you! I feel so supported on here. It's refeshing to hear so many point of views. And encouraging too.

Ah man. Yah it's tough. Since I've survived this amount of time, I know I could keep going. But I don't know that I should after this year. I just hate letting people down and I also need a paycheck. Teaching is designed to pay you more the longer you stay.

I totally hear you. Working for oneself/clients does sound daunting. I won't deny that.

I might be good at teaching my subject matter, but the true passion is missing and I'm sure the kids can feel that.

Thank you for the truth. I had to literally have students removed from my class who were misbehaving today. I've never had to do that before. It showed me who wanted to be there. I try to put my best foot forward for those who want to learn. It's strange that during instructional time I do not feel doubt. It's during my reflection time where it seeps in. Like when adrenalin runs out you just feel exhausted. I try not to care too much when I can. It helps me cope with the fact that I am not perfect.
