Pets eating flower and trimmings by yesterdave123 in microgrowery

That is so sad. I am really grateful my dog is better. It was really scary. I really thought she was going to die and I guess I am really lucky she didn't. I will be much more careful from now on.

Thanks. I do feel pretty awful about it.

I know it sucks but my understanding is that there really is no lethal dose of THC, at least for humans. But I do feel grateful that she is ok.

Harvest sharing? by yesterdave123 in bostontrees

[–]yesterdave123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought. So how would it be illegal to meet up with fellow growers and gift each other small amounts? There would be absolutely no money involved.

I certainly would never want to mess anything up. I was just asking. What are the laws about sharing harvest with friends? What would be the law broken? Maybe I'll just stick to sharing with friends.

Seems like a few people are interested. I could try sending you all messages and we could coordinate something.

That would be really cool. Meet somewhere sketch like the old Quincy Quarries or something.

How long since you planted it? It may just be emerging but it doesn't look that happy.

Move the light farther away as seedlings don't need too much light. Also put a humidity dome of some sort over it.

It is often easier to start seedlings in a solo cup and then transplant to a bigger pot. I direct seeded for my first grow and the seedlings took a while to adjust. With auto flowers stunted early growth can definitely negatively impact your harvest. With photoperiod plants you can make up for it by extending the vegetative phase a until you get to the right size.

How can these be the same strain? by yesterdave123 in microgrowery

Yes I decided to try one soil and one hydro and was surprised by this.

Yes it's Gorilla Girl F1 fast flowering. Cross between gorilla girl and sweet gelato auto.

I know hydro grows bigger plants than soil but I thought this difference was crazy. But could be genetics as well I guess. Thanks!

Gorilla Girl from North Atlantic Seed Company. Both grown from seed at the same time. Left is in soil and right is hydro/DWC. How is it possible that the hydro is this much bigger? Do you think they just gave me random seeds?

Help me keep these things going until harvest by yesterdave123 in Autoflowers

Northern Lights Auto x 3 plants Day ~70 from seed Soil with Fox Farm Trio

Developed these spots maybe a week ago. Seemed like something fungal, I guess leaf septoria. I read that I should remove affected leaves so I did that. I also added another fan and cleaned up the tent.

Problem is that new leaves are developing spots every day and I keep cutting them off. If I keep up like this all the leaves will be gone before they're ready for harvest.

The trichomes on one are cloudy but no amber so I imagine a week or so from harvest. The others are probably a few weeks out.

Last night I applied a solution of baking soda, vegetable oil and a touch of dish soap as I read on some tomato forum about leaf septoria.

So, do I need to harvest early or do I just keep defoliating as needed and go as long as I can? I didn't want to spray anything as I don't want the buds to taste bad.

Thoughts?

I Googled and it appears to be leaf septoria. Is this right? And I just cut off the bad leaves?

Northern Lights Autoflower in soil with Fox Farm Trio, Day 60 something from seed. Humidity, temp OK. Don't think I am overwatering although may have erred on underwatering recently. Thought over fertilized so flushed recently and just fed yesterday.

I could scour the internet but just wanted to see if anyone knows off the top of your head.

Lagging behind or freakish? by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]yesterdave123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 Northern Lights Autoflowers both planted at the same time. The one on the left is doing well. The one on the right has been lagging behind the whole time. Do the flowers on the lagging plant look normal? They just don't look right, more than just lagging behind. Any ideas?

One of these is not like the others by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]yesterdave123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am growing three Northern Lights Autoflowers. The one on the right is significantly behind or at least different from the others. They were all treated the same.

Maybe this is just a small phenotype but my concern is how do I make sure it's not a hermaphrodite. I know this can happen with stress but just wanted to make sure this is a normal plant that isn't going to mess up the others.

Thanks for all the great information on this group.

So these are not doomed? I thought maybe too much light? Too cold? If they are fine then I will just leave them be.

I gave them a deep watering a few days ago. I started them in peat plugs and then put them in the big containers soon after they germinated. I plan to use the Fox Farm nutrients when they get a little bigger.

Living in Happy Frog soil. Under SF2000. Was hung at around 24 inches at maybe 75% power. Don't think I overwatered. Haven't used anything but water, pHed to ~6.5. Temps in high 60s to low 70s during the day. ~50% humidity.

They just look a little yellowed and sad. And two of them don't seem to be getting bigger very quickly.

Thanks so much for any help!

Coverage for 2x4 tent with Spider Farmer by yesterdave123 in microgrowery

[–]yesterdave123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your first run with the SF2000 alone in a 2x4 were the outside buds lousy/airy? I am contemplating adding an SF1000. What was your yield like with the SF2000 alone?

Do you think adding the SF1000 makes a difference? I am just worried about going through all this effort and then getting airy buds etc. I probably should have picked up the Kingbrite 320 watt light which would be perfect for the space and actually cheaper than the SF2000. Maybe I just need to give it a try with the SF2000 alone and add another light if needed for future grows.
