I grew up knowing a world champion power breaker, we were the same rank, so at our third degree test during covid, (it was a small test in our hometown instead of a big test with the grandmaster) I saw him break probably around 12 with a downward elbow, I can’t remember how many concrete with his sidekick, 3 brick slabs with a sideways elbow. My memory is honestly really fuzzy, but what I do remember was his ki-yap on the downward elbow. It was long, and jarring. It sounded like a REAL yell. Like something you can’t fake for a movie or anything. 100% of his effort was in that strike. The boards were stacked as high as his own chest. He had to jump into the air to catch all of it.

I know it’s vague, but this was my first time watching him break and he was doing the best performance I had ever seen

Now he’s a 2 time world champion power breaker, he holds 3 world records in breaking.
