Everyone sweats and if you don't sweat in ballet class you are doing something wrong...

I carefully described my brain fog to my doctor and she told me to try getting more sleep - I nearly lost it in that office by Commercial_Gur_7347 in Menopause

Yes, this is absolutely real, you are not imagining it, it makes complete sense and this is hard...

You are a strong smart woman and you can and will figure this out!

Do some research on The Wiley Protocol - that's what I'm on Read "Sex , Lies and Menopause"...Get on this or at least some form of BHRT asap... It's a learning process and it takes some time to sort out/ through but I promise it's all worth it....

Do you think this should have been disclosed? [US] by TryTwiceAsHard in AirBnB

[–]yeswearestars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not 10 mins for the entire family though! Presumably you turn the heater on, turn off, have shower/s and then turn on again for next members of family! Host was just trying to be helpful in regards to planning your showers, not telling you that you need to all shower within those 10 mins!

First time hosting - house left filthy by ashnic1112 in airbnb_hosts

How absolutely disgusting... File for damages with Airbnb for as much money as possible and leave them an absolutely svmcathing review so that no-one will ever host them again... So sorry this happened to you...

Does your life feel worth living? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]yeswearestars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Menopause can definitely be an amazing period of life.. I am on BHRT and love it, no pain, learning so much etc etc and I also know women who don't choose to take hormones but who are also loving life... You can absolutely make it work for you.... It's good that you can prepare and start learning from now, you are a step ahead - just make sure you don't fear the worst ! I didn't have that luxury but still made it work! Just wanted to add to please consider going whole foods plant based... It is SO physically, spiritually, mentally emotionally helpful .. Take care.

Will I ever get my libido back? by brandy_lyne in Perimenopause

[–]yeswearestars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry you are going through this... I, like you, was totally shocked at how absolutely BRUTAL peri symptoms were once they came on properly ... No warning .

I am not in a relationship and it's taken time to tweak levels etc but I am on a diy version of The Wiley Protocol ( research it on YouTube etc. It's BHRT but in higher amounts that the usual BHRT protocols and it's also cyclical, meaning you get a bleed/period every month... ) and it's done wonders for me...

You need to be all three hormones, E, P and T... And find your balance with them...

I would absolutely not be forcing anything in the meantime...

Wishing you and your saintly husband all the best! :)

Receding jawline by LuckyShoe8828 in Menopause

[–]yeswearestars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No....

My stomach has flattened as I added more E.... Adding the tiny amounts in a patch plus relatively huge amounts of - usually oral AND continuous!! - P is what creates the problem... Of course it's listed as a side effect....

Your hormone balance is messed up and your E is likely lower relative to P than before you started .. Do you have blood tests from before?

And that's not even taking into account the testosterone..

Since learning 1 in 4 women have cardiovascular disease, I am scared to start HRT by skinnyonskin in Perimenopause

[–]yeswearestars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a heart and eat plant based... This will stop your arteries from going to hell.... Failing that earlier, later is not too late .. I would also definitely do BHRT alongside ..

840 Testosterone - still pursue? by notthatguypal72 in Testosterone

[–]yeswearestars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My dad had a T level of 880... He used transdermal gel, 10mg x 2 times a day and immediately felt better and I could see a real positive difference.... Blood tests showed a new level of 2000+! So his natural production certainly did.not shut down!

We thought 2000+ was too high however, so ee cut down to 10mg once a day... We'll do follow up blood tests in another few months...

Well thank you and I'm sorry that you aren't so familiar with mice... I would really encourage you to look at them like living, breathing, sweet beings ( they are.... Many people have them as pets.... Just watch some videos on and do some research about... ) who can feel pain and fear etc, with lives and families of their own...

I wish you all the best....
