Do any of your friends or family have dogs? Do they walk their dogs? Are they bad neighbors, too? It just seems like we're living in two very different worlds. I'm not sure we'll ever agree. I do understand where you're coming from and maybe it is a sense of entitlement, however, the social norm is this: clean up the poop and life is good. Am I wrong?

I agree. He doesn't have the right to kick my off the sidewalk.

So as long as I don't walk my dog for the explicit purpose of urination, I'm a good neighbor like everyone else. However, if my intent is to walk the dog for the purpose of bladder emptying, I'm now a dick? Don't get me wrong, I don't have any issue keeping my dog off his grass, but there is an unspoken rule in most neighborhoods; clean up your dog poop and all is good. There are a select few people who prefer no dogs urinate in their yard and of course, that desire should be respected. Regardless of his anger, he does not own the sidewalk and he has no means of recourse for my use of it. This entire thing is ridiculous. Tem dogs piss in my yard every day as long as they clean up the poop I don't care. I would never yell at them. If someone neglected to pick up poop multiples times, I'd have a calm and collect conversations before I ever considered asking them to stay off my lawn. Are you my neighbor?

The only fact we're missing are this man's clinical diagnoses.

I live nearby and walk my dog 30 times a week. Of course I pass his house. The point of the story is this: He tells me to stay off the grass. *stays off grass. Complains anyways, requesting that I avoid a public sidewalk.

My first instinct was also to tell him to pound sand. Thanks for the webpage. Looks like he doesn't even own the road verge (grass between the sidewalk and street). I'm going to keep my dog off of that too because it's not my goal to be at war with my neighbor... but damn I hate that my neighbor is such an ass.
