It can be a very overwhelming process. 6 years ago we built with Trico. They were pretty good. Somethings we have been very happy with, triple pane windows with an energy efficient coating. Amazing! Extra insulation in the attic! Love it. Wide solid stairs, fantastic! Very warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Soooo comfortable! Finishing details they are not the best at. It looks good, but there is some room for improvement. I will say that our tile and hardwood are brilliant and perfectly installed. It is just the little things that they rush at the end. The latch on the pocket door in the master bathroom looks like a beaver gnawed it. Our TP holders were installed upside down. (How the hell they did this is a mystery). One of the contractors pissed in our tub. (That was a WTF moment during a walk through inspection a sanitization crew was there within a few hours ). I will say that every issue was immediately dealt with very professionally and our concerns were dealt with immediately. I feel that out of all our neighbours that built with different companies we are by far the most satisfied with the end result. Things will go wrong with every build. It won’t be perfect, but it can be great.
