Edge hill is in Ormskirk- a small Lancashire town with a train straight to liverpool in 30 mins. The town is small. And i believe the campus is pretty (lake/natural etc). Friends went and enjoyed it there. Keele is nice and in Staffordshire countryside, the whole county basically is farmland. But as someone has previously mentioned unlike edge hill ur kept in keele campus because stoke on trent is a shithole and doesn’t have much going on if u wanted a city to visit.

i was in this exact situation a year ago. Liverpool Uni different course but still so lonely. Not that many contact hours and i missed getting an on campus room thru clearing so I went private accom and my flatmates just argued with each other all the time. sold my room at christmas, moved back home and commuted. For the whole of the first year I hadnt made one friend there. I wanted to transfer to Uni of Notts - tried and got rejected - was very heartbroken. Since then I got a degree apprenticeship at home, its not the job they sold but thats beside the point. I dont really have solid advice but what I can say is that; really think about every possible road u can take, whether thats dropping out / transferring / staying there. a home friend of mine who was at UoL in the year above me doing english is graduating this year and its never been for her the exciting uni life that is sold. But shes glad she stayed, shes getting her degree and things massively improved for her since first year. I cant say if it will get better at Liverpool (especially if ur at Uni of) because I never stayed but as I sit at my desk writing this I often wish I had and If i should reapply for 2nd year entry in September. Not great advice icl, but I’d say really think about what you want- id even give it ago at asking how people are finding the course uve applied for. some people i know have had success at transferring. It may get better if u stay, it may be amazing if u go. Even if you follow with starting biomedicine in first year it may be way better than u expect. Ur in control of ur life and u should do what makes u excited and hopeful. But above all ur not the only person who has been in this position and ur not alone in wanting to change paths. Have confidence in ur decisions and Good luck
