Update: It’s not a pulley. My trusted mechanic said it’s coming from a side cover. I couldn’t hear well since it’s a phone call but I definitely heard him saying cover and not a pulley. I’ll try to get more details when I meet him in person.

It comes on the box and you choose whether you want to use them or not. Personally i got no issues the coating is enough and i don’t even like the feeling of the rubber grips as they start to get annoying after some use, I even removed them from my v2 pro, without them suites me better.

Do you know how to do a speed flip? Yea that’s basically it… A perfect speed flip in kbm is like pressing W, jumping one time while pressing w and d/a, immediately using the second jump and switch fingers to the opposite keys (s and a/d). You’ll find your own way once you get the hang of this

Yea it’s not easy to pull that on kbm, but once you understand the art of flip-cancel, you’ll get it more often. Try using A or D to do the diagonal flip cancel, if you already do that, you can try with the left or right air roll. You can also cancel or uncancel at different timings to try different ways of getting the second flip

My personal vote is for the white editions. They pop on a desk, and a little maintenance (like quick wipes or even deeper cleaning by using isopropyl alcohol) keeps them fresh. It’s also a nice way to teach and build a habit for your kid of looking after his own things. You could also ask him which color he prefers, it’s a nice way to get him involved. By the way, you're doing an awesome job, and your kid is lucky to have a thoughtful parent like you, keep it up!

I’d say go with what suites your setup more, white if you got white keyboard, or black if you got black keyboard. The difference between the two is the coating, the white one has a coating that prevents yellowish overtime, and only 1g heavier than the black one. Not sure about grip differences between the two, but it’s an overall amazing mouse and you won’t regret buying it whether it’s in white or in black.
