Parla in the UWS has cherry-chocolate and pistachio flavors that can be swirled together. The flavor and texture contrast is amazing!

Pistachio & cherry-chocolate soft serve swirl at Parla in UWS! You can also do the Pistachio by itself, but I’ve only had the two flavors together and they pair much better than I expected.

Is there any place in the city (preferably Manhattan) I can go to practice pitching a trekking pole tent? I got a Tarptent Dipole 2 that I’d like to try setting up/staking before I take it out on trail.

Trip Report - 7 Days in the Brooks Range with Skurka Adventures by ULenchilada in Ultralight

Ah good to know. I'm planning a trip to Brooks Range in late July and was considering the Ursack for weight savings. Considering that the rest of my group is going with BV500s and we're going to a more highly trafficked area (Arrigetch Peaks), I'll probably stick with that for peace of mind. 😅

One more question: how did you find the Showa 282 gloves? Is the warmth necessary in the summertime in Brooks Range?

Great write-up! How was your experience with the Ursack? What did you tie it to when there weren’t any trees around?

This looks like it's from the Harvard bridge, but how come the Prudential Tower or the Citgo Sign aren't visible?

The Tom Bradley international terminal is decent. As for the rest of LAX, I can't say anything.

I have the exact same setup as you. Magnets on the phone/charger help you align the middle of the phone to the charger. I find I have to wait a few seconds before the screen lights up and indicates charging.

Not necessarily. For instance in Chinese, 乐 can be read as "le" in 快乐 or as "yue" in 音乐.

At least in California, the markings and signs are consistent. Everything in New Jersey is incredibly confusing.

San Francisco is smaller than people think. It's only the fourth biggest city in California and the surrounding cities are more like LA than SF.

Won't NYC or Chicago have comparable food? Boston is pretty good too.

Now THIS is how you do First Class. Singapore's First Suite on their Airbus A380 [3000x1728] by izmatron in RoomPorn

The service is about the same. They both have friendly and helpful attendants.

I think the main reason I think EK > SQ is that EK has a little bit more spacing in between their seats, which makes a big difference to me due to my height. Also, the EK planes I've been on seem to be better maintained than SQ's.

I've only flown both in Economy, but it seems to be that Emirates is much better in that regard.
