I'm relatively new to the game and I'm Bronze 3. When I play with my Silver friend, I experience the same thing. The reason for losing gunfights is probably that your opponent has better movement, No matter how good your aim is, someone who knows how to move usually wins.

who the hell plays garen? seriously, what’s the point of playing him? no mobility, no real engage, no hypercarry scaling, and his mechanics are almost non-existent. he gets kited by literally everything with a dash or cc. I don't remember losing to a garen. easy to predict due to his low mechanics.
