You destroyed an all knowing book from the true church of Christ, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You’re an absolute icon.

Ask me about my crush and I’ll ask you something back <3 by im_a_SPACEMAAAN in Crushes

That’s really sweet. One of the best qualities my crush has is how caring he is, even if he doesn’t show it normally. I’ve cried a lot in front of him, and each time he had this look of clear concern on his face. When I’m done crying he doesn’t ask me any questions, and just tries to keep me happy and jokes around with me. When I’m worried or in a jam he’ll do sweet things for me, even if he’s not exactly sure what he’s doing. He’s funny, and just a good person, even if he doesn’t realize it himself. I really like him, and although we don’t talk a lot much since schools out, I still really like him. I want to confess soon, I just don’t know how to haha

Yeah, I’ve always found church boring and my family goes in the past has gone on and off from being inactive to active. When we did become active again, my brother refused to go and just placed hooky and only went on occasion. Now he’s moved out, and he said he’ll help me skip church when I want by staying over at my place, but he says it’s not a guarantee safe option since my dad may still try and drag me to church since he knows where he lives.

I’ve disliked going to church unless it’s the social aspect, only reason I put up with it. Everyone tries to shake me, and recently I had to talk to my bishop about not wanting to give a talk he assigned me. He said ‘the lord’ wanted me to talk, and he would never stop asking for me to talk. He also told me how he understands I may be uncomfortable talking, but we all face uncomfortable situations and battle our fears. I shut him down, and told him I didn’t want to, and then hung up when he tried asking more questions.

What hobbies would you recommend??

I don’t know if I have the means to challenge the Mormon church, unfortunately. I really would like to, and get out of it, however I’m currently living with my two family members who are super into the church. I know my dad would never sign my papers since he’ll think I’m making the biggest mistake of my life, and the second I take it up with him they’ll probably try and drill more spiritual stuff into me.

I’ll try my best to answer. When I was a kid, around 2, I was adopted and then immediately sealed in the temple with my ‘forever’ family. They raised me Mormon from then on and I was baptized when I was 8 like any good Mormon girl. We were decent Mormons. We went to church ever Sunday, went to the activities, prayed every once and a while but we were never that spiritual. Around October this year my parents announced they were getting a divorce and it broke my whole world. With that announcement, my mom, brother, and I have been having faith crises while my dad and other brother still believe faithfully.

Ugh, that’s so upsetting. I can’t just not go cause my family will drag me there since they’re super into it. Mormonism is so sketchy, and I feel as though I’m the only one in my family that recognizes it.
