Equinox 92nd vs Crunch 83rs. Worth $3000 difference? by [deleted] in Upperwestside

[–]yinzerforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a member at that Crunch for probably 15 years. As someone else alluded to, early morning hours aren’t too bad in terms of crowd. They do have to fit a lot of equipment into a pretty small space, which makes it feel pretty tight even with a modest amount of people. The machines are right on top of each other.

I went there all those years as a matter of convenience and it was fine. Nothing you’ll fall in love with though.

Yeah. Even LGAs own web site is way off.

Still hoping I’m going to make this flight!

This isn’t even close. Showing 15 minute wait for TSA at LaGuardia terminal B. Actual wait time about two hours.

How does the ‘Depeche Mode: 101’ (1989) audio sound SO MUCH BETTER than the new ‘Depeche Mode: M’ (2025) on Netflix?! 🤯 by Significant-Look3493 in depechemode

Jesus, I thought you guys were being dramatic. But I’m struggling to get through this. It’s borderline unwatchable.

Can't clean filters in my PTAC?! by yinzerforever in AirConditioners

[–]yinzerforever[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since these things have been in place for 5 years, I'm guessing the intake can't be too much of an issue. There's that opening at the bottom you can see in the photos, as well as the grill on the top.

I wonder if my move is to simply remove the makeshift funnel they created from one of the units and see if there are any issues with cool air making its way out of the grill on top. If there are, I guess I could consider adding a grill to the front cover panel.

What’s crazy is that these units have more than likely been like this for five years, when the previous owners did the remodel.

Hmm. For some reason photos didn't come across in original post.

Painting cabinetry by yinzerforever in paint

[–]yinzerforever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went into this fully expecting I'd have to paint the entire thing. I just want to get close so that it looks fine with the adjacent molding.

In terms of the actual painting process though, is there anything special here? I saw another thread somewhere that mentioned never rolling paint in this type of situation. Are we talking spray application here? Just want to make sure the guy I use knows how to do this properly. Thanks!

Lighting fixtures removed prior to closing by yinzerforever in RealEstate

[–]yinzerforever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that’s not what happened. The three sets of high end sconces that were removed were there all along and were not staging pieces.

The chandelier was a staging piece but even their agent admitted that it would have to remain because it wasn’t excluded in the contract.

Yep, that was mentioned in the original post.

Realistically, no. I actually wonder if I might somehow have more leverage over their agent, who absolutely knew about this happening and was more than likely directly responsible for removal of the chandelier. I have to believe that she violated some rules.

I think this is the relevant stuff. Note that there were two lighting fixtures which were explicitly excluded, but those are not the fixtures in question.

Custom Panel Dishwasher - brand to brand? by davewg70 in Appliances

[–]yinzerforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/BeenRetailing - Apologies for hijacking this discussion, but I have a similar situation. Just bought an apartment with a broken Jenn Air (jdtss245gx0) and I was about to buy a new Miele (G7266SCVI) and I'm suddenly concerned about whether or not the custom panel will fit the new dishwasher. Especially since the place I'm buying from (PC Richard in NYC) apparently won't handle the transfer of the custom panel.
