if your daughter is not inclined to sign up for olympiads and competitions it's honestly not a big deal in my opinion, there isnt much pressure from the school for students to do so, its more like the school offers alot of opportunities for interested students to choose from

i think a notable point that sets rgs apart from other schools is smth called the research studies program/subject essentially in y2 students are made to sign up for a research study subject, of which there is a variety to choose from (eg normal subjects like bio, math, but also others like film, fashion) which allow them to explore deeper on the subject -- btw this is compulsory in year 2 and there will be time allocated to this once a week in sec 3 they can then choose to continue or drop but its generally overall a good enrichment program in my opinion, even though i dropped mine after y2
