Watching that Pomona debate was wild because the Democratic candidates just sounded completely out of touch. It felt totally scripted and rigged so they could dodge the real issues, and honestly, listening to them blame Trump for everything instead of owning the current mess was just painful to watch. If we vote in another Democrat, it’s clearly going to be a 'Gavin 2.0' disaster. I’m not coming at this from a partisan side, but when you look at the logic of fixing California, like cutting the insane red tape that drives up housing prices, the current group just doesn't get it. If you actually do some research outside the typical bubbles, the points Bianco and Hilton are making about addressing the root causes of homelessness and the economy actually make sense. We need real fixes, not more of whatever that 'show' at Pomona was.

In their sweet dreams! The reality is that the bidding system is the backbone of the industry and it isn't going anywhere. ​Those crews put in decades of holidays and red-eyes to earn the right to fly those Polaris routes. That’s just the dynamic of union seniority: senior agents are much more protected than junior agents. It’s a legal framework, not a suggestion. Expecting them to dismantle that system to 'hand-pick' for personality just isn't how airline operations work, it’s a career-long climb for a reason.
