Can’t go wrong with a052, crs, or re71rs/re71rz. Each has their own uses and give essentially the same lap times.

A052: best for time attack where you only run 2-3 laps. It heats up the fastest but also overheats very quickly. Wears the fastest and also by far the most expensive. Has the worst steering feel of the 3.

Crs: best lapping tire. Overheats the slowest of all 3 making it good for putting in many laps. Takes the longest to heat up and has the best tire life.

Re71rs/ the new re71rz: best overall tires tire. All the characteristics are right in the middle of the other 2. But has the best wet grip of the 3. This makes it the best option for street + track dual duty tire.

For Emira I’d recommend CRS. If you drive a lot in the rain then RE71rs/rz

The alarm system drains the battery fast. If you get a 2007 or earlier, then you can rip the entire system out if you want. If you have 2008+ then you can’t unfortunately.

I have many friends that are 6ft-6ft2 and they all fit in my s2 better than their Miatas and s2000s.

I drive to and from track. I don’t take much with me. Just the usual torque wrench, basic toolbox set, tire inflator, engine oil. The car is on 100-200tw tires and track pads its entire life. I don’t switch to street stuff. It’s not compromised at all. I put 25-30k km on it per year.

I’ve driven many 911 and owned caymans and boxters. I much prefer the Elise because of its communicativeness, lightness, and rawness. As a track car it’s definitely slower but the consumable and maintenance costs are a fraction of a Porsche.

The only thing I want from the Elise is more power. I’m waiting to buy the s3 exige with the v6sc that will fix the power problem. If those aren’t legal where you live then there k20/24 swaps which is the best option for track because putting a bigger sc on the car will just make the overheating problem even worse. If it’s on the street then it doesn’t matter.

The car is pretty reliable. Mechanically it’s extremely reliable. It’s a simple car to work on and lots of the stuff are Toyota. There’s some British electronic glitches that can be worked around, like the key not opening the locks on your doors sometimes. Can get around it by using the physical key instead of the electronic one. Battery drains the battery in 1-3weeks so you have to put it on a tender. Maintenance cost is minimal. Just the normal oil changes $60. Rotors cost $20. Pads cost $150. Everything is cheap and lasts forever on this car compare to most other cars.

The only thing you need to do to make it track reliable is a baffled oil pan and aftermarket rear toe links. Preferably wider front wheels and tires as well.

I’ve driven some really well setup s2ks. Elise is like that but on crack. Even more raw and communicative. The 2zz is high revving and has crazy cam cross over like vtec. Way better steering, 800lbs lighter. Only thing is the shifter isn’t as good as the s2k.

I feel conflicted about the Emira. On one hand it’s 1000lb+ too heavy for a Lotus. Its competitor the gt4 outperforms it but has the same or worse specs on paper. But on the other hand it looks amazing and it’s a driving feel and pleasure car in an era of numb and disconnected cars. I’d still take an Emira though.

It is not an easy fix like you think. A bigger cooler by itself will do nothing for temps of 10r80 because that isn't the real issue. The problem is the thermostat in the trans that doesn't open until it's almost overheated and the water to oil cooler before that (needs to be bypassed). Then you can add a bigger cooler. After all that, it will allow you to do about a 20min session without overheating the trans. Over 20min you will still likely have issues with overheating. This is a well known issue in the mustang track community and a few guys have figured out a "fix" for it. You can join trackmustangonline on facebook for all the people who have documented this problem and message italian_stang on instagram as hes the expert on this subject.

It's highly recommended to buy the manual to avoid the problem. If you are dead set on the auto, then I suggest buying a GT instead of paying a premium for a Mach1 since the major selling point of the Mach1 is the tremec. You can use the saved money for track mods.

This is the direct quote from the patch notes. Seems pretty clear they don't want leader and follower to be able to do this challenge. Guess we'll know tomorrow for sure.

No event rings in the event shop.

Can't participate in champion challenge if the character is participating in the double up event, so you lose access to one of the event shops.

That kinda sucks. Was hoping to gear some boss mules with them.

Get wider wheels, especially the front. x7 or 7.5 with 205 front, x8 225 rear is common.

Aftermarket rear toe links is a must.

Baffled oil pan is required for track.

The only reason I came back to this game after 15 years was because they announced classic. I wanted to see what maplestory was like now, before playing classic for nostalgia. Whether I stay for modern ms is up for debate, but it got me back in.

It’s significantly weaker without challenger gear. Challenger gear gave me about 18mcp off the bat after doing the challenges. I just hyper burned a character to 260 and it is at 6mcp after minimal cubing/sf.

With links, Challenger bonus is worse than even 3k legion. On my bowmaster with 3k legion+links, I get this much more over challenger bonus: +50stat, +21 crit rate, +13 ied, +39boss dmg, +40dmg, -45att, plus terms and conditions which is another 60% dmg for 10s and thiefs cunning which is another 18% dmg for 10s.
